My fiancée and I came from Virginia Beach (a 45 minute drive by the way) to come and try this place because we had heard great things about it. We got there and got sat at a small two-top table stuck in the corner by the bathrooms. First thing, it took almost 15 minutes for us to be greeted, and that was because we flagged a server down. We ended up being greeted by the bartender and were given our first round of drinks. We then placed an order of CHIPS AND PICO for our appetizer (this will be important later) a burger for me, and nachos for my fiancée. We then wait 20 minutes with empty drinks, (still no appetizer or word from our server by the way) and then we eventually walked up to the bar and ordered our own drinks. 15 minutes go by and we still don’t have our drinks. Eventually my fiancée gets his but I had to wait 10 more minutes for mine (appetizer nowhere to be found, how hard is it to throw chips in a bowl and throw pre-made pico in the bowl?) Another 30 minutes go by and we finally get the chips and pico and my fiancées nachos. The appetizer came out with our food, and we didn’t eat it because we expected it 45 minutes earlier. My burger hadn’t come out, so I asked for it to go and it was cold when I got it. My fiancée asked for no olives, jalapeños, and sour cream on his nachos and all came with them. We were then offered a free shot and a free cup of blueberry syrup? as an attempt to make us happy. It was funny so it kinda worked lol. Then we asked to speak to a manager and he told us that “our table gets forgotten because it is shoved in the corner. Excuse me? If you have a table you know gets forgotten about you should pay more attention to that table or at least do a round of checking on the tables at least once. Then he leaves for 20 minutes to go talk to another manager when we made it very clear we were ready to go home. That other manager comes out and comps the nachos and our drinks. And his excuse was that 1. That table always gets forgotten about, and 2. They were training servers. I highly doubt that because none of the servers were paired with anyone and if you were training people you would be paying more attention to the tables to make sure that they were enjoying their service. Not the case. In my opinion, we shouldn’t have paid for a second of our time here as we didn’t enjoy a single second of it. We will not be coming back. Train your people (or at least hire enough) and management please learn how to manage a restaurant and how to keep your customers happy and taken care of because we...
Read moreI wanted to love this place, the atmosphere is a really fun night out kinda vibe but unfortunately our experience was less than ideal. We went to check it out on the night of the Holiday Market and upon walking in, I asked if it was a seat yourself and was immediately met with "this is a bar type of place" Assuming this was said to me because my son was with us. I said ok and asked if we were able to have a table and our name was put on the list and we were told a 20 minute wait. We walked around while waiting and I went upstairs (which is 21+) to see what that bar area looked like. The hostess went with me and showed me around, answered questions and seemed quite friendly. Upon receive the text that we could be seated, that same hostess advised that there not any open tables and they didn't know when a table would be open so they could cancel our name off the list. We had already been waiting 20 minutes, it was dinner time, the whole area was busy due to the market going on and the solution was to simply cancel our names off the list. I asked what about the other 8 parties (most all with kids) that were behind us on the list and they said they would all just have to wait but that they could cancel our name off the list. Nothing about us waiting, just that they wanted us to leave. Another party came up behind us and they gave them the same speech.I can understand hiccups for a newly opened restaurant/bar but this was unacceptable. It gave the feeling that kids were not wanted in the restaurant which if that is the case, make the whole place 21+. As much as I want to give this place another shot, we've been turned off to it due to the unprofessionalism and lack of accommodating staff. We ended up going to Mexican as it is always quick and easy and so did the family that came up behind us. With other places very close in the area, and New Realm recently opened that is very family friendly, The Silos needs to work out the...
Read moreWe got there at 7pm. We had to flag down a server after 15 minutes of not being greeted at all. One of the bartenders came up to help us & drinks were fast at first. We finished our drinks & sat for 20 extra minutes with empty drinks then had to walk up to the bar ourselves & order a drink. Those drinks took another 15 minutes. Another 10 extra for someone i was with. We ordered an appitizer of chips & dip when we ordered our first round of drinks. Didnt get a choice of the dip as they have on the menu. After the 2nd round of drinks we waited another 45 minutes for nachos & a burger. Got the appetizer with our food which we didn’t want to happen. My food was completely wrong when it came out as well. We had to ask for our food to go because it took too long. We asked for a manager & spoke to the first one. Then he said hes going to talk to the manager above him & he thought a shot & taking off drinks & our food that came out wrong was good enough. We feel we shouldnt have paid anything for our tab at all. Dont go to this place & be sat at the 2 top in front of the restroom by the bar you will most definetly get forgotten about. Both managers said that table always gets forgotten about. Horrible experience for the first time going coming from virginia beach 45 minutes away. Do not go there unless you want to be forgotten about & wait damn near an hour for your food to come out. Place was not busy at all. Would not recommend for someone wanting to come to this place because we most definetly will not be coming back at all...
