This place is amazing they had over 20 different items for you to choose from. They had a variety of salads, sauces, soups, rices, and and variety of proteins and they even had fish at the end of the food isle. The other dishes which I think should we mention were the cooked greens. One was green okra and the other one was green beans. Both had a tomato base roux. They also had fried cauliflower which I appreciate for my friends that are vegetarian. They’re always cooking fresh bread. Their buffet Buffay does come with hot tea and ice teas. They also have the rose flavored drink as a drink to choose from “Razza.” They also have a fountain machine with several different soda options to choose from. Their ice cream machine fall shorts because they only have one flavor which is vanilla but that one vanilla ice cream is amazing. I also want to dive in a bit more about their sauces. They have garlic sauce, tahini sauce, tzatziki sauce, and hot sauce. They don’t do it like other Arab restaurants where they limit you on the amount of sauces you can take. One is able to take as much sauce as they want. Other Dimassi locations do not have a gyro as a protein option. However, this Dimassi‘s allows you to have as much gyro as much as you want. The place was totally clean the decorations are amazing. The walls are of stone and brick. The chandeliers and lights add an incredible touch. The tables and chairs are well accented with the floors. The guy who showed us around was extremely polite. The guy who rang us up was also very polite. The staff here who picks up plates and takes care of leftover cups and glassware I was very attentive and took everything back in a timely fashion. They are still practicing Covid practices where gloves are available if someone wants to use gloves to take the food but overall the experience was amazing. This is the perfect area to take someone to lunch to impress them with some good quality food. All the ingredients are fresh and they’re constantly bringing things out as they are being made. I also forgot to mention they also have fruit here which was cantaloupe and oranges. They also had salt and pepper shakers available...
Read moreThis is a good place if you are not familiar with Mediterranean style cuisine, as it has a little bit of everything that you would typically eat in a Mediterranean home.
The food is fresh and they do have all of the traditional flavors and dishes. Its definitely easy to find something that someone who's is exploring this cultures food.
The reason for the 3 stars is for the atmosphere, parking and pricing.
The restaurant is located in the mall area parking lot so if you are trying to catch a quick lunch dont think it will be quick. It usually takes 5 to 10 minutes to get a parking spot, as its located in the center of the mall. So that can effect the parking and walking distance if you are in a rush.
The atmosphere is bland. There is not much of Middle Eastern music or feel. The music is not usually what you would expect to have at a Mediterranean restaurant.
The atmosphere feels like you are eating in a hospital lunch room with no Middle Eastern art or feel.
With that being said personally I feel as though $13.00 for a lunch special is a bit pricey. The price for dinner is more and nothing different from lunch.
I also found it to be ridiculous that when I was dining here during Ramadan I was told "if your here for Ramadan the price is more". I found this to be a bit disturbing and disappointing as it's a way to make a extra buck off a "religious" time of Muslim culture.
Overall decent food, no atmosphere, slightly overpriced. If you want the atmosphere and music with practicallythe same price Fadis is across the highway and same Mediterranean food...hope this will...
Read moreI called this location 2 hours in advance to ask if they will be serving a specific “pasta soup” that my 2 year old daughter loves. I described the soup to the employee over the phone and she said she knew “exactly” the dish I was talking about. I asked her to describe it and she got it correct. I asked her if she knew FOR SURE that they had some currently and if they will have some for dinner and she said “oh yes, definitely” . I proceeded to inform her that “my family will be driving 35 min and that my daughter will only eat this soup from there if we decide to eat there as a family so I needed to confirm first before we make the trip” and she said “I understand, don’t worry” My family got to the restaurant and what do you know, NO PASTA SOUP dish! I spoke to the woman at the front and told her the name of the employee I spoke to over the phone and she said “she’s not here anymore, she left for the day”. I told her what happened and she proceeded to say “we stopped making that pasta soup many years ago” (which was a lie being that we have been there a few weeks prior and had the dish). I walked out and will never go back to this unprofessional...
