Ordered a poke bowl. The fish had frost bite. The cashier told me it's because it was cut fresh, but if you're serving customers to dine-in, the food has to be edible and ready to eat right away. Because of my particular problem, she suggested to take it to go so it will have time to thaw out. This is unacceptable. I felt uncomfortable because of her suggestion. I hate wasting food, so I took the food to go. We had plans afterwards, but we had to go back home because of this food needing to "thaw" out.
Edit: If the food isn't ready, then don't put it out? Simple solution. I wanted white rice and that wasn't available. I understood and opted for something else. Would you place chicken out that wasn't cooked thoroughly to meet demands? The fish wasn't even cut well. Neither were your other food items that were put out. They were cut haphazardly in a sloppy manner. I wanted to go to the event in Suisun that day and had a hard time finding parking. Your suggestion for me to go back home and come back because of your poor customer service and bad food quality is laughable and ridiculous. For anyone thinking to go to this establishment for poke, don't. I can't speak for their other foods because I haven't tried them personally, but their poke isn't good. There are much better...
Read moreStopped by after an amazing meal at Cast Iron Grill. I LOVE Poke and usually get it at The Nugget in Vacaville. I asked if they had a menu. She pointed over to a menu on the wall and said no. I took a few pictures for what I was thinking at the time would be a future order but then I realized how
stiffeling it was and realized there is no way I could actually dine there in that kind of heat and then when I walked out and my wife asked me where the menu was, I explained they didn't have any but that it was way too hot inside anyway, so I wasn't interested in going back. She brought to my attention that hot environments and raw fish, don't mix anyway. So I guess I will just stick to the poke at the Nugget. It's fabulous and high quality & making a bowl at home is easy breezy anyway. Oh well. Some rice & crunchy veggies. Spicy mayo , a dab of scriacha and a little extra sesame oil. Maybe next time we walk by I will stop by for a second evaluation since I do see some good reviews. Maybe the AC was...
Read moreI was really surprised by the food. They had quite a variety. Though I wouldn't call it a deli per say. I would say that the food was excellent and plentiful. The staff is family and very helpful. I had poke and a vegy roll but they also offered sushi, pancit and Burmese dishes of which I was not familiar. When I left I was very pleased with the food and more pleased with the service. I don't think you can Door Dash this place as the owners taylor your Poke to your individual taste by taking you though each step. As with all Poke places I have been to they build your bowl asking you questions along the way. I think this is a...
