Golden Phoenix — Restaurant in Suisun City

Everything I ordered was awful... I ordered the Mixed Appetizer, the Walnut Shrimp, and the Dinner for One. I ordered with Uber Eats, and my delivery was very quick.

From the Appetizers: The Fried Chicken Wings tasted like catfood. No seasoning, no sauce, no breading. It is just a plain, frozen chicken wing, that was dumped straight into hot oil.

The Crab Wontons are oddly shaped, soggy, and not very tasty at all.

The Eggrolls are large, but it is barely stuffed, and contains the most basic ingredients. Not good.

The Fried Shrimp is actually very good, I love the flavor. Unfortunately my order was also slightly burned, so although I enjoyed the shrimp, the aftertaste was that of burnt toast.

From the Dinner: The Walnut Shrimp is the most bland Walnut Shrimp I have EVER tasted! The sauce is so runny, but they give you a lot, but the shrimp has so little flavor. It doesnt even taste like I'm eating shrimp, it tastes like I'm eating bland tofu with the consistency of shrimp.. literally 0 shrimp flavor... It astounds me that I could eat shrimp, and not taste any shrimp..

The Orange Chicken is not crispy at all, but it is fairly tasty, until you get that frozen aftertaste that reminds you of catfood again.. The chowmein is not the best... it's disappointing that even the chowmein is a letdown. The fried rice is actually decent.. It tastes like it was fried in butter, and butter makes...

First time trying Golden Phoenix...very pleased! I was craving some authentic and hot Chinese food, and I still had not found a "go-to" for great Chinese food in my area. The dinning room looked clean and inviting. I opted for take out this time. I had the Heavenly Chicken, the Curry Chicken, and the Shrimp Fried Rice, with an order egg rolls and wontons. Both chicken dishes were really good. The curry was spicy...just like I asked for. The Heavenly Chicken was a big hit. It was very tasty and the mushrooms were perfect. I ordered 2 lunch specials: 1.Sweet n sour pork w chow mein Beef n broccoli w) fried rice Walnut Shrimp $46 and some change Told her to keep the change from the $50. I got all the way back to Rio Vista California and found that the walnut shrimp only had three pieces of walnut. The three pieces of walnut didn't even total one whole walnut. I called Golden Phoenix and told him that there wasn't even walnut in the walnut shrimp and was told that they don't put a lot of walnut in the walnut shrimp and that I could come back and get more walnut . I told the young lady, I was in a whole another city. She said the next time I come they'll give me more walnuts.
