Arturo's is located in downtown Sulphur Springs. I found it to be a very quaint little pizza shop, that had some absolutely great thin crust pizza. My party and I had two different types of the nine inch pizza and a salad and a Calzone
The shop was very simple in decor but done very nicely. Looks like it had originally possibly been a garage repair at one time. There is a large overhead door that opens up still so they can use it as an outdoor patio as well in the warmer months.
Our waiter was very helpful and very enjoyable to do business with. He even knew some minut details about the food that one in my party had asked him. Such as, where does this certain type of cheese come from, who do you have it delivered from? And surprisingly he seemed to know the answer or at least gave us a good answer in our mind. Again the food was wonderfully prepared and extremely hot when delivered to our table.
The three of us were so impressed that we have decided we will go back and try some of the other local restaurants in downtown Sulphur Springs in the months to come. Very nice visit. The prices were also very good and not unreasonable for the service and the quantity of food.
I do have to apologize however, I forgot to take photos of the food. So I got a couple of shots of indoors and one of the outside of the building. If you're in the area, in the mood for pizza, go give Arturo's a try. You won't be...
Read moreI took my 15 year old & 8 year old sons with me. One of which is a VERY picky eater. We all loved the atmosphere it was very cozy, and welcoming. The service was incredible oh and the food was out of this world. I decided to push it and order a veggie pizza which I and my oldest son love but my picky eater will eat nothing but plain cheese so I was afraid he was definitely not going to be happy but I made him take a bite and he loved it I couldn't believe it. Not only was he eating something other than plain cheese pizza, which has been the norm for a good 7 years, but he was eating his vegetables and without any argument there was no mommy having to be the bad guy again. He loved it I mean absolutely loved it the only thing he picked off where the green peppers which was a okay by me. We all ate until we just couldn't eat anymore and still had some to take home. We will definitely be going back I still have to take my daughter and husband can't wait. Oh and before I forget if you like cream soda I mean real authentic cream soda theirs is to die for even if you have never liked it before trust me try it there it is definitely one of the most amazing drinks I've had in...
Read moreReally liked the downtown experience, but Auturo's just fell way short of my expectations. We were thinking that with side salads, a 12" pizza could be split by two people & be plenty, but it really wasn't. The wait time for our food seemed excessively long, & when the waiter brought plates he just set the stack on the end of the table instead of giving each person their plate. The pizzas were pretty charred, but that is sometimes expected with wood fire pizzas. Also, my son ordered spaghetti and when they brought it out it was linguini, and he was told that it was because the pasta machine was broken. The linguini substitution isn't wouldn't really be that big of a deal except that before he was halfway through with it there was a plate of spaghetti brought to the table next to us. We will probably go back and try it again hoping that the majority of the issues (the wait, the plates, the unapproved linguini substitution for no real reason) were just due to an...
