Went there today for lunch... Music was very loud, we asked that they turn it down a little. We sat as far away from the speakers as possible and it was still loud, so I don't know if this is a restaurant or a bar. I tried to get the attention of our Waitress, but of course she couldn't hear me over the loud music.
Menu is strange: I originally wanted to order 2 pizza's and take the leftovers home, but I couldn't find a second pizza that I liked to order so instead we ordered a salad and one pizza. Suggest they add items to the menu that people actually like to eat: Meat lovers, BBQ Chicken, Hawaiian, etc.
I love Calzone's, but again their menu was strange, 3 options: one with meat, one with cheese and a vegetarian option. The meat option only had salami, which tends to be greasy, so I didn't order it.
The salad and the pizza were delivered to the table at the same time, normally salad's are delivered first as are any other appetizers.
The pizza crust was very thin, it collapsed under the weight of the toppings, though it was tasty.
Not a fan of this restaurant that is run like a bar. Too loud, couldn't carry on a conversation with my wife and the server would disappear from time to time, even though there was only one other...
Read moreMy family and I were coming from out of town to eat in Sulphur Springs and looking forward to eating here. We entered the restaurant and very quickly and abruptly was told the restaurant did not open till 5pm by the owners (keep in mind the doors were unlocked); the waitress was very kind and said they were not open yet. I was honestly shocked to how abrupt we were spoken to, however, we left and asked the soap shop next door for their recommendation of where to eat. After eating I stopped back by the restaurant to speak to female owner and expressed my concern of how I was spoken to and made a suggestion that in the future to make sure that the doors are locked to make sure others customers didn’t have to experience what I did. She was pleasant and we discussed both of our views, and in the middle of our conversation her husband came over extremely rude and interjected himself not aware of the conversation we were having. Unfortunately, his demeanor and how he treats customers is not how I would ever run a small business in a small town. I would support other restaurants in Sulphur Springs before...
Read moreDefinitely a fantastic place to grab a bite of great Italian food in Sulphur Springs, Texas. They are relatively new to the “Square” so they are adding items to the menu. I personally ordered the Spaghetti Al Pomodoro. My husband ordered the Spaghetti All’Arrabbiata and we shared the Hot Honey Brussels. We sat outside, service was awesome. We sat there and leisurely enjoyed our food and did some people watching. They checked on us often and made sure we had plenty to eat and drink. To culminate this wonderful evening we ordered the cookie and ice cream for dessert. By far one of the best cookies I have had. Compliments to the chef and baker. My husband’s family is Italian so we do know what good Italian food should taste like. I am a former Family and Consumer Science teacher (aka Home Economics, Home Ec, Homemaking) so I am fully aware of the science and art of cooking and baking and they nailed it. My husband and I are from Katy, Texas and we very intentionally came to Sulphur Springs to come to Nonna Faye’s and we...
