I have given this place 3 chances since being in town. The first time we went we were seated and the waitress who was supposed to wait on us was rude and started taking orders for people who came in after us. While we sat there with nothing. Finally another waitress decided to wait on us. She was nice. The food wasn't all that and the buffet was a disappointment for 20 dollars a person. Even after that we decided to get a to go order a couple of days later. I ordered grilled chicken and my husband ordered hamburger steak dinners. 10 dollars a plate. And we got a.poboy for lunch the next day. Well the hamburger steak came without any gravy was meat and onions and dry as heck. My chicken chicken dinner wasn't much better I got a handful of fries and tossed salad that consisted of 2 bites of shredded lettuce and 2 tomatoes and they sent wrong dressing. I could of gotten better food at Burger King. Both meals were terrible. I called and complained they offered us 2 meals on the house for those meals. So we decided to go tonight. The lady seating us was like you want buffet before we even left the lobby. I said I dont know can we sit down first please. She had major attitude. Well we decided on buffet. The first experience I had was getting my salad and the tongs were laying in the lettuce the part you put your hands on. That's gross. The buffet was dirty the food was gross and not filled. Overall the experience never got better and this is a restuarant that is busy all the time they are making bank. But no love for customers or food. Then after paying 2.29 a piece for tea and we didn't get a refill I asked same manager for teas to go and she was putting in small cup I said I would like a large cup and she said no its more money. I said forget it. I just paid five dollars for two teas and I couldn't have a large one to go. The reason I wanted large was because I am staying in a hotel and wanted the drink for all night. So she was more worried about 50 cents on a cup then customer service. Luckily my waitress ended up getting the teas for us. My.waitress was the only nice thing about any of it. What happened to customer service and food quality.. it's not a cheap place they want you to pay top dollar and this is our experience 3 times your out in my book. I wish I could.post the pictures of my nasty to go orders. Get new management do something different because your place is dirty and most of the staff is rude and clueless to making a customer happy....

We drove over an hour to go out to eat with some friends here and had 7 kids 5 and under. We got there with barely anyone else there, ordered our food, and waited over 1.5 hours for our food before we approached them. The restaurant began filling up after we ordered and tables with even bigger parties that arrived after we ordered were getting their food before us. We approached several workers trying to ask where our food was, then finally the owner named Mike Hollier. Mike Hollier laughed in our face and said “do you have somewhere to be.” No one even attempted to apologize and make it right. He then continued on to say “we just don’t have the best customer service” and “I’m sorry, that’s the only thing I can do for you”. Never attempted to make it right or give a sincere apology for talking to us so rudely. We then told him we were going to leave a review about the experience with him and he said “ok, all I will say is God bless” in a very rude and snarky tone and continued to just laugh about it and could obviously tell he couldn’t care less. Horrible customer service and not good crawfish and some of our food was cold when...

This place was not too bad. The food was delicious and the service was okay. The room temperature was very cold but they allowed us to go to a room on the side that they had. Like I said the service was okay but the waitress did not check on us too much. I hear they have the best beef jerky in Louisiana. I did not try the beef jerky but their gumbo is very good. The fried pickles are okay but they had some seasoning that I put on it and it made it even better. I would not recommend the onion rings but the fries are good. If I had to come visit this place again if I had the choice I probably would just get the gumbo and maybe get some beef jerky. So I give this place 3 stars when I went a lot of people were there so they must love it. I love that they had a big chair in the front and they let me take pictures with It. But yeah come to this place and maybe just W the menu a little bit better. I don't know but I didn't buy too much food and it came out to 40 bucks which is kind of pricey I feel for what I got. But the mozzarella sticks are...

We stopped at a hotel west of Lake Charles on the way to Austin. We drove around looking for a restaurant in Sulfur. We found Hollier's open and ate there. It is a casual comfort local restaurant. There is a food buffet that had chicken, etouffee and some other stuff. We decided against the buffet and ordered from the menu. The dinner salads were small, simple, and the lettuce was clean. I had a bowl of chicken sausage gumbo that was good and full of protein. The lady had seafood gumbo that was spicier but didn't have much content besides the broth. Each gumbo came with rice and potato salad. She also ordered a baked potato that was fresh. The son and I ordered shrimp po'boys and fries. We should have split one as they are Yuge. They were good. The fries seemed seasoned and were okay. Simple place. Basic food. Good enough. The service was very good.

Stopped in for dinner on our way into town! If you are wanting a hole in the wall/mom and pop place vibe, Hollier’s is it. We didn’t have the best experience with the food though. Crawfish was okay. The size was great, flavor was a dry rub and not too spicy. But they were waaayyy over cooked. Every tail we peeled stuck to the shell and broke. So we tried the gumbo. The rice was either old or not cooked fully because there were crunchy pieces. Also got barely any meat. Flavor was okay though. Hush puppies were mediocre. The ribs in the buffet were great and chicken in the buffet were great. So overall, I think I’d just stick to the buffet if you want the best for your money. Our server was really sweet! She was tentative and kind!
