We are absolutely OBSESSED with Maple Wood Burgers — it’s not just a restaurant, it’s an experience we look forward to every time. Everything here is 10/10. The food is fresh, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and crafted with serious love and care. There’s honestly nothing else like it. We’ve tried so much on the menu and every single thing has blown us away. The breakfast burrito platter is our go-to morning pick-me-up, and the stuffed burgers are next-level — the Hangover, Crawfish, Philly, and Boudin are each packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. And that bacon, egg & cheese sandwich on jalapeño sourdough bread? Absolute perfection. That bread adds the perfect spice and texture — we substitute it on every single burger and sandwich now. Game-changer. And let’s talk about their kicker sauce — we are hooked! That tangy, spicy kick they add to their sandwiches, burgers, and burritos takes everything to the next level. We crave it between visits. Oh — and the milkshakes? Hands down the best we’ve ever had. Creamy, rich, nostalgic and indulgent in the best way. The staff makes every visit feel like coming home. They're friendly, welcoming, and always go out of their way to make you feel appreciated. It’s the kind of genuine hospitality that stays with you. And the app... wow. It’s one of the best food apps we’ve ever used. You can customize your entire order with ease, browse the full menu, schedule pickup for later (even the night before!), and everything runs so smoothly. It makes ordering feel effortless — and honestly kind of fun. On top of all that, Maple Wood also has a convenience-store feel, which we LOVE. If you’re on a road trip or in a rush, you can swing by, grab a drink, chips, a few snacks, or just take a moment to rest before hitting the road again. It’s a hidden gem with big heart. We can’t say enough good things. Maple Wood Burgers has completely raised the bar — for flavor, service, and experience. If you haven’t been, GO. You’re going to fall in love just like...
Read moreSmall, unassuming place in Sulphur. Im not even kidding when I say I just had the best burger I've ever had in my life. This was my first time here. I "made my own", one patty on a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, pickle, grilled onions, Swiss cheese, bacon and ketchup.
Burger was cooked to order, and came out really juicy and perfectly cooked, so all the juice didn't run out of the meat and soak the bun. That's actually kind of tough to do!
I am notoriously picky about my grilled onions.... most places do not grill them long enough. These were flawless, and the person who made them even scooped the "crispy bits" out of the pan and tossed em on the side of the burger, which I absolutely loved!
The seasoned fries came out perfect as well, crispy, hot, and packed with flavor.
I must say, I was rather astonished. I was not expecting this at all. This burger has made me question everything I thought I knew, ponder my existence, and wonder why it took me 40 years to find this burger. I have spent too many years accepting lesser burgers... but no more. This is my new go to burger joint.
The folks running the place were really nice, and for a custom made to order burger, service was fast.
Lastly, the presentation is very nice, with the burger cut in half and plated on a real plate, which I thought was a fantastic idea. I am very happy to have found this place, and I will absolutely, positively be back! Thanks for an AMAZING...
Read moreMaplewood Burgers in Sulphur, Louisiana, is truly an off‑the‑beaten‑path gem. Tucked inside a nondescript convenience store on Maplewood Drive, it’s easy to drive past without a second glance—but that would be a mistake . This unassuming, hole‑in‑the‑wall location is where the stuffed burger concept began, and you can still feel the local passion in every bite.
The menu reads like a Willy‑Wonka lineup of stuffed burgers: bacon and cheese, BBQ brisket, mushroom‑Swiss, crawfish, mac‑and‑cheese, and even Philly steak inside a burger. I opted for the Cajun Kick burger—pepper jack cheese, jalapeño sourdough, and their signature creamy‑spicy sauce—and it delivered the perfect messy, flavorful celebration of heat and meat.
Equally memorable is the staff. Across multiple reviews, customers praise welcoming and attentive service, calling out names like Marina, Brea, Murray and Ms. Marini for making the visit shine . They go above and beyond—helping with special requests, making recommendations, and greeting regulars by name—a rarity in today’s fast‑food world.
Yes, portions are generous, prices hover around $12–13 for stuffed burgers, and the fries are heavily loaded and satisfyingly seasoned. But it’s worth it: you leave full, happy, and cared‑for.
If you’re a burger lover seeking an authentic, off‑the‑beaten‑path stop with genuine Cajun flair and a small‑town heart, Maplewood Burgers in Sulphur is...
