Firehouse Subs Sulphur — Restaurant in Sulphur

Staff is extremely rude! Numerous times I've frequented this sub shop and have been ignored by the employees, no warm welcome, and have been left there standing for over ten minutes without someone taking my order. Even when they made direct eye contact with me! The bread is a hit or miss, most of the time it's either soggy or rock solid. The subs themselves aren't the best but they also aren't the worst, which in my opinion doesn't really explain the high prices... I get it that meat is getting expensive but the least you could do is make your customers feel welcome and serve them a sub that's actually HOT, not lukewarm, not cold like it's been sitting there on their table for several minutes.. the Mac and cheese there is great, however they've only filled my cup halfway. $5 for a half filled cup of Mac and cheese?? The soup and chili they often gave me about half a bowl rarely they actually filled it up 😐. As for the sauces there's hardly none except the datil sauce there's not a lot like most firehouse subs locations.. I figured the service would make up for that but nope! The place where you get the drinks is often dirty.. caked up sticky stuff like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks but the sweet tea is alright.

The night staff is a joke by the way! Constantly playing saying inappropriate things and screaming across the restaurant nonsense,.god forbid you come in an hour before closing they will make sure that you know you caused then and inconvenience.. . you can tell them they messed up your order and show them they'll try and argue with you about it but the day staff never does that, they fix my order without question what's up with that? The staff was not helpful or friendly. No one spoke to us when we came in. When we got to the counter to order we weren't spoken to either. No hello, welcome to Firehouse Subs, nothing. The girl just stared at us while she waited for our order. The young lady taking our order also said we could EXCHANGE our chios for a different side if we wanted. My husband and I each got a combo so he "exchanged" his chips for the loaded potato soup and I "exchanged" my side for mac n cheese. Our total was $28 and some change. I wasn't expecting it to cost so much. We sit down and look at our receipt and there was a $2 & $3 upcharge for the 2 sides. The lady taking our order should have said you can change your sides for an extra charge or upgrade your side. The restaurant was dirty. The manager was too busy talking to his staff behind the counter about his finances and the cost of him hiring more employees etc than cleaning the filthy tables in his restaurant. They were out of sweet tea so my husband asked about it. The manager look so aggravated that my husband bothered him. He never smiled at us and never spoke to us. Just hollered at 1 of his employees across the restaurant, asking where the sugar water was so he could mix the tea. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. The Virginia honey ham was good and so was the smoked turkey breast. I normally love roast beef the best but their roast beef didn't have much flavor. I'm not sure who is giving the good reviews...drove 40 min about a week ago and they messed a 40.00 order up so bad some wasn't even eaten. Went back yesterday and got 3 med sandwiches for 35.00. I'm ok if food and service are good but not even close. We quickly checked it and it seemed ok. The ticket clearly said no peppers no onions. Halfway home we discover that there are onions and peppers hiding in the center. Went back inside and a manager with an attitude took it and said...you might as well do something with that...I can't. Well I can't either you made it wrong. It made me feel like he thought we were after a free sandwich. They put me behind everyone else including the window and about 15 min later some punky girl with rings in her nose looks me in the eyes and hands it to me without a word. No sorry about that from anyone. I promise you I will never bother them again. Unbelievably bad...
