Let me start by saying that the front staff was cheerful, positive and extremely nice. The restaurant was clean, and even the off-duty worker hanging out at the counter that I talked with was extremely professional, incredibly polite and made me feel confident I didn't have to check my order (which a customer should NOT have to do before they leave a restaurant after ordering something to go).
I went out of my way to go to this Burger King after having problems with the two others in Summerville making my order correctly. After telling the staff about my previous experiences at the other ones, they assured me my order would be correct at this one. It was not... The only thing that was correct on my order was the large fry. I called to speak to the manager about the order, 2 Whoppers and 3 Chicken Jr's, and sure informed me I would have to bring the food back tonight in order to get it replaced. I had already gone out of my way to go to that particular store because I spoke with the manager of this store previously to get a District Manager's information regarding some problems with the Main Street location closing early (and letting customers sit at the drive thru order speaker, trying to get someone to respond since they were supposed to be open...only to call and have someone answer to tell me they were closed but were not responding to customers in the drive thru {even though there was a 5 car line waiting to order} or putting up a sign to let customers know about the early closing) and then also explained to her the issues with an almost entire incorrect order at the Bacon's Bridge Road location; after which she told me if I came up to her store I wouldn't have those issues. So this is what I did. I still had issues with an incorrect order. After contacting the General Manager about this, her resolution was for me to go way or of my way again, wasting my time and gas, and bring the food back so they could replace the mistake, I assured would not exist in the first place, to get my order right. I took pictures of my food to show them the obvious mistakes in my order but was told if I didn't go all the way back up there, I would not get a resolution. I'm not trying to steal from your Burger King, General Manager. I'm just trying to have my time and money wasted to fix a problem your store created in the first place. I didn't even mind saving the food to bring back (I was not going to eat it in the first place) until I was going to be in that area another time. But this was not acceptable to the General Manager. Burger King...please tell me why every time I go to ANY other fast food restaurant, I only have problems on a rare occasion...but EVERY TIME...I have a problem with your restaurants? And while you're at it, please explain to me why it is the customer's responsibility to go out of their way to return to the store immediately to have the mistake made by your staff fixed, at the customer's expense. My first job at 16, 21 years ago, was at a Burger King right here in Summerville, the one that was at the corner of Trolley Road and Bacon's Bridge Road (where the Walgreens is now) and I can tell you that we actually took some pride in our jobs then. We really cared that the customer's order was correct, even if for some it was no other reason than we didn't want them having to call or come back because that would cost the company money and have us dealing with angry customers. How have your stores, which have the absolute best burgers (when made correctly), in my opinion, of any fast food chain I've ever had, gone from what they once were...to where they are now? It's a complete shame that a customer should ever feel like they have to stop and check every piece of their food they ordered before they walk out the door. Why, Burger King, don't you seem to even...
Read moreIf I could give a negative five stars I would, here’s how they stole 21 dollars from me today. I went there with my nephew and niece at 8:50 in the morning and there was a small line in front of us, so we went and used the kiosk, one of the first things on the kiosk says “Burgers for breakfast” I thought perfect a burger sounds delicious so we ordered and paid and went and sat for our order to be called, a good ten minutes later we get told that they don’t serve the burgers for breakfast till 10:30, so ok no problem the kiosk was misleading not a big deal until I say ok refund my card and I will just get something else. Well I get told there is no manager on site and the girl just turned around and walked away. So I stand there in the way of other customers until she reluctantly came back and pulled her phone out and calls someone and then says a manager will be here in ten minutes, at this point we go order something else since we obviously haven’t eaten yet, that total was 18 dollars but whatever we get our food and eat and we wait, at this point I’m getting impatient so I go stand in front of the counter until I finally get acknowledged and and ask is this manager coming? So the girl stormed away and came back a few minutes later (at this point it’s 9:40 FYI) and handed me a phone and it was the manager who said what can I help you with a very unpleasant attitude so I said I just want to get refunded. to which she said you ordered from the kiosk we can’t give refunds? So not only is there no manager on duty but I’m getting told hard luck we are just keeping your money? At this point I am starting to get angry, so I say what am I supposed to do? Well I will be there in ten minutes I get told again (apparently my clock runs much quicker than theirs as the first ten minutes was over a half hour ago) she then repeated that I won’t be getting a refund but she will have them make my order when she gets in! So I said I already ate, I just want my money back for the food I did not get. No, nothing can be done ,I’m told again with a lot of attitude so I hung up the phone as I was getting no closer to getting my money back, so now I’m in a predictament do I really want to spend the rest of my Saturday morning in Burgerking knowing that when that managers comes in with her attitude there will be some sort of altercation or do I just cut my losses? I choose to leave after what cost me a total of 39 dollars for breakfast and an hour of my time wasted, After this experience I highly doubt I will ever step foot into a burgerking ever again and I feel sorry for any other customers who have to deal with...
Read more1/11/22 I first want to say, we love Burger King and are very thankful for the one close to us is open (since many have closed down). But the service at our location is horrible. The lobby has been closed since COVID, but the drive thru line takes forever. I ordered online today using my APP (like we always do). I went to the store and since the lobby is closed (there are no signs saying this except on the drive thru window) I had to use the drive thru. It took me 28:25.18 minutes to get to the speaker just to give them my name. It then took me 12:52.42 minutes to get my 2 Whopper Combos. It took 41:17.60 minutes from the time I entered the drive thru to leaving. I would have left, but since my card was already charged before getting to the speaker, I was stuck. I was then almost handed the wrong order, I knew this based on the size of the bag. When they handed my the correct bag, it was missing the fries. I then got home and one of the whoppers were wrong (thankfully not too bad). Now, you can say they are short staffed, but I saw plenty of people in the store sitting around, the order taker was looking at their cell phone while cars were waiting to be served. There were no cars behind me, yet the drive thru line was wrapped around the building, as always.
Old Review I stopped by Burger King to have breakfast. I was the only one in the lobby and it still took some time for them to acknowledge me. I had to ask for ice since neither machine in the lobby had any. That's after stepping around the spill that was in front of the front cash, with no urgency to clean it up. I then get my chicken croissant (that I overpay for) and the chicken piece is ridiculous. It was over cooked and very small (I do have pictures). I don't know why we still go to...
