So I wanted to try this place, and first thing I noticed is that they don't give chips to Hispanic customers, I asked the waitress she said we were supposed to ask for chips because is extra, I don't mind paying but don't treat me different. I noticed that other customers were not asking for chips and were getting chips. The customers that were getting chips were Caucasian. #1 discrimination. So sad to see that they are treating the customer's different. Never would I step a foot in any tiki taco. We are all paying customer's and we tip. I don't mind paying but don't charge me and not charge other customers. Other Hispanic customers had no chips on there table. I am beyond upset I pay I am a great tipper. I was a waitress, bar tender and manager at several Mexicans restaurants and I never treated any customer differently. To me is the thought that counts. Lost my appetite. Feel so upset to be discriminated with my own kind. Wow don't understand there stupid policy to only give chips to who they want to and charge others. My hubby said is just chips is ok what is the big deal. To me is not ok and is not right. Treat all your customers the same. Bad customers service. I complained to the manager he just laughed and sent me another waiter that didn't know what he was doing. Bad Management not friendly. What Mexican restaurant charges for chips and a credit card fee. Tiki horrible do.
This is the response I got on FB from there poor management. Good evening Diana! Yes, we charge 1.50 for chips! Yes, we charge everyone who orders them! I find the rest of your observations and comments to...
Read moreNot a good experience. None of the food was seasoned at all, and tasted very bland. The only thing that was seasoned was the side of street corn (eloté), but even that was seasoned WAY too much. So much seasoning that I could not even finish it. The chips and salsa were subpar. The chips did not have any salt on them, and the salsa tasted like ketchup basically. No spices, just a tomato-y taste. The two dipping sauces they brought with the chips were also tasteless, and were very spicy and not enjoyable. Also, these were probably the worst Mexican rice and beans I ever had, and the beans were water-y. I ordered the Birria tacos with high hopes as my favorite Mexican dish, and the cheese tasted fake, and the actual birria/consumé once again just tasted like beef broth with no seasonings whatsoever. My wife loves tacos, snd she did not even finish them due to the tastelessness. To top it all off, both me AND my wife’s stomach felt terrible immediately after eating here. Needless to say I took a trip to the bathroom before I left. The ONLY reason I gave it 2 stars was because our waitress was nice and polite, and never let our cups go empty before refilling them. Unfortunately, we will not be returning here, or any of the other Tiki...
Read moreI Normally have a great experience at this Tiki Taco. It started off good. It was Bingo night. Our food was just delivered. My husband had a big bowl of soup. We were playing bingo and hadn't had the opportunity to eat much because we were busy dotting our numbers! My husband had about 2 sips of his soup-it had to cool down bc it was scalding hot. Then we got a bingo. Our 6 yr old daughter excitedly walked up and got her prize. On the way back to climb into the huge booth her hand slipped and her entire elbow and arm went into that scolding hot soup. I jumped up grabbed her and ran to the bathroom and took her clothes off to avoid the heat sitting on her skin too long. Thank God the jacket she had on was a thick Jean jacket otherwise she would have to go to the hospital for burns. Her arm is fine very minor injury and a few tears. Came back to the table they were still trying to clean it up. Never asked if my daughter was OK. My husband ate my tacos bc they didn't offer another soup. It was disturbing. Hospitality goes a long way. Thank god bingo was there. That took our minds off being upset. Super great dude doing the bingo! Go on Mondays...
