Dragon Express Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Summerville

I ordered some take out from this place right before Thanksgiving. I have ordered from them many times before and the food is pretty good and the delivery is always speedy. The girl took my order and I gave her my card # and all the info she asked for. She said the food should be there in about 45 minutes to an hour. About 5 minutes later my phone rang and I did not recognize the #but answered anyway. It was a man from the Chinese place and he asked if I had just placed an order with them for delivery and I said yes and he said, "well your car did not go through" I asked him why did the girl at the first call not tell me that but instead told me the food would be sent out, and he said he did not know then asked me if I could please pay with cash for the food. I checked my wallet and I said yes I had enough to pay cash and then I hung up. Something did not feel right about this whole thing. So I got online with my bank and right there on my checking statement was a pending charge to the Dragon Express. I called them back and spoke to the same guy as before and told him that I just checked my bank and according to my statement online there was a pending charge for them for the exact amount for the food I had ordered and I asked him to "explain please". He put the phone down for a few minutes then came back and said it was no problem, card did go through and food was coming. Machine made mistake. So boys and girls. I come to this location all the time because the food is pretty good for a good price only to be charged 19.46 for general Tso chicken and pork fried rice I have never paid that much for that particular dish the person on the phone told me it was 13.90. I still bought the food but that left a bad taste in my mouth with them. Called the store back to ask why was it so high even though I asked while in the restaurant and the younger girl didn’t know herself why it was so high. So I spoke to the person that answers the phone and was told that because it’s Christmas the price is higher because they fix everything as a large and sold separately instead of the usual combination plates you would be able to get on any other day.i told him they should let customers know that before ordering because had I known it would be that much I would have gotten something else or not order at all. 19.46 is a lot for that dish then it was luke warm and looked more like orange chicken for that much i want everything HOT and exactly what I ordered I’m not going back ill go to china city right around the corner it’s a shame and I frequented...

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.

I called for delivery, was told 45 minutes. So i waited, and waited… and WAITED!! 2 HOURS LATER. My patience has been stretched so I called to ask about it. Gentleman picked up the phone, i asked whats going on with my order it has been 2 hours. Only to be told that they DONT DELIVER TO MY ADDRESS. Despite the fact that when i first placed the order, they confirmed my address was within distance. I was ANGRY. If they couldnt deliver after receiving my order, i would’ve understood. But they had the audacity to not bother to call and let me know AT ALL. What horrible service. No lunch for me and my family i suppose, just gotta eat something quick and hold out to dinner time. When i spoke to them, they really seem like they couldn’t care any less. No call, no text, nothing.
