Whenever I find boba tea in the Charleston area, whether that be at a dedicated boba shop or at a restaurant that also serves other fare, I always give it a try, and I'm generally always disappointed. I grew up drinking boba, and there is a particularly good tea taste and pearl texture I look for when I try a place's boba. It's hard to find! I live in Summerville (near Boba Fusion), and I was tired of driving 30-35 minutes away to go to the nearest place with "good" boba. Then, once I found out about Boba Fusion a few weeks ago, I gave it a try, and man, was I pleased! Not only are the service and environment lovely, but the tea is (in my opinion) as good as it gets! Granted, I've always gotten the same thing, as I am a creature of habit, but what I've tried has been stellar. I only wish the cups were larger, so I could have more of it! But perhaps I'm just greedy. I've already stopped by 2-3 times a week since I've discovered it, and I've left smiling every time. So happy to now live near a shop that sells the kind of boba I...
Read moreI drink A LOT of boba! If there's a boba place either here locally or anywhere else that I visit I will find it and try it. So of course I was excited when I saw Boba Fusion was opened in Summerville and not too far from my house at that. The place is decorated nice and looks and feels like a legit good spot for bubble tea. I got the Thai Tea and my wife got her usual Taro which she asked for it to be only 50% sweet. My Thai Tea was great and tasted just as I would expect however my wife's Taro was just some bland light purple substance. It DID NOT taste like the usual Taro bubble tea you would come to expect. I thought well maybe it's just because it was 50% sweet let's get another one and try it regular which we did and the same result, disgusting. Was it a fluke and just made incorrectly twice? Possibly. But I can tell you we will probably not come back here again for our bubble tea fix but I know taste can be subjective so maybe you will enjoy it...
Read morePersonally been here 3 times now since opening and the last 2 with the teenagers. The owner is very helpful and kind so he recommended honeydew last time as a melon flavor he enjoyed and we tried it this round and it was so good and not overbearingly sweet even with the vanilla added. My milk drink was good with the syrups and taro always is good. I got the Thai tea last time with coconut and coconut jellies which was phenomenal too. Stop by and enjoy a nice drink for a little less than the price as others but closer by than...
