Just tried this place for the very first time because a friend wanted to try it. At first everything was fine. We approached the hostess and was promptly seated. The restaurant was surprisingly empty despite being 1pm, at what should have been the peak of the lunch rush. But anyway, the hostess/waitress took our orders and we were left to chat... About 15 mins into our conversation, a woman approaches us (I can only assume she was the manager). She informs me that my attire (worn for reasons of health and spirituality) was not acceptable and that if I didn't have something else to wear in my car that I would have to leave the establishment. Now, normally I would have left at this point, however I chose not to cause a scene in front of my dear friend, whom I had not seen in quite some time. ~ I do NOT intend to return to this restaurant. I felt incredibly offended and embarrassed by her tone and her comments. I did NOT deserve to be treated this way and I was incredibly surprised that they were so quick to turn away business when there was NO ONE else in the restaurant. Very insulting and disrespectful. My family and I choose to support small businesses instead of chain restaurants, but we will not be returning to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give a 3.5 I would but we had some difficulties. I work in food and bev and I understand that somethings donāt always go as easy as it seems but wow. I got a raspberry lemonade martini that was STRONG and had a powdery taste like crystal light packets. I donāt drink martinis often so I didnāt know if that was normal. No problem we watered it down. We got our appetizer Fried green tomatoes and let me tell you THEY WERE DELICIOUS. When it came to entree time my mother wanted a steak. There steak is always chef choice. It was my motherās birthday so she got whatever she wanted no matter what. The choice of steak was an 8oz ball steak with 2 sides for $28. Now usually Iād be like HECK NO but like I said it was her birthday. She ordered it med rare. Now like I said I also work in food and bev I understand. But this $28 8oz steak came out medium well. One slice she took of it had pink in it. I get it steak can be difficult to cook. But why sell an 8oz steak for $28 and not try to get the correct temp. We sell the same thing at my job for $13 and you get eggs a side and bread. Frustrating but our server was attentive but getting busy and my mom wasnāt necessarily unhappy so we let it go. But 3.25 stars for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time here, but itās been on my radar for a while.
Fried Green Tomato Omelette was loaded with Fried Green Tomatoes. Grits were honestly probably top three Iāve had in this area, only had to add a dab of pepper. Biscuit was clearly homemade and delicious.
Biscuits and Gravy was great as well. Very flavorful and loaded with Sausage. Green Onion garnish was a little strange and the amount of Green Onions gave the dish a clear Onion flavor. Not an issue as I like Onions, but if they arenāt for you I would ask to hold them back.
Mimosa Bar was great, five different juices and three types of fruit to accompany your champagne.
Bloody Mary Bar had many garnish options but there was only one brand of mix, regular and spicy. Ideally would have liked to see another mix option.
Sat at the large high top in the Bar Area. Phenomenal service from the Bartender. Great atmosphere. Everything is fresh and homemade. Clean. Very public on Social Media with specials. Reasonably priced.
Note⦠only Brunch menu, Burgers and Wings available for Brunch. Will be returning for Dinner. Well done.
