Downtown Summerville looks like a true fairytaleā¤ļøā¤ļø It is one of my favorite places to go! There are lots of small local shops worth visiting! A delicious local lunch spot is Eclectic Chef! My cousin introduced me here as a go to pregnancy craving and my goodness is it amazing. Their fresh salads and wraps are to die for. Their mushroom soup became a true favorite of mine. Can’t forget their array of fresh made dessertsā¤ļøšŸ˜‹ The owner and his mother are some of the sweetest people you’ll meet. That’s what is so great about Summerville. It’s like this everywhere you go. Kindness is at the core of this town. You’ll fall in love just like we did. First time eating at this restaurant and the food were good. The soup of the day on Saturday was tomato basil soup and creamy mushroom soup. I ordered the mushroom soup which was so good with portabella chicken and goat cheese wrap. We also ordered grilled cheese with bacon with 3 type of cheese (Brie, mozzarella, and Monterey Jack )and a slice of tomato which my picky eater said it tasted good. The grilled cheese came with a choice of pasta salad, chips, side salad or potato salad. We were there for really late lunch and had to used the bathroom which brought us to the last person at their closing hour, 3pm. When we walked out the door, one of the employee yelled yay. Not sure why he yelled yay, maybe because we finally left which I think kinda rude. We didn't purposely linger but need to use the bathroom before we left. But overall good food and service were fine until the last minute we walked out the door.

Nice place, the food was really good. I ordered Tuscan chicken panini with chicken rice and vegetable soup. My husband ordered grilled cheese with bacon and buffalo chicken soup. And my kids split eclectic chicken gyro which came with pasta salad or potato salad. We picked pasta salad. I think my husband's soup was better... the buffalo chicken and I liked his sandwich and the kids sandwich better than mine. The pasta salad has a balsamic vinaigrette hint to it. The prices were not too expensive about $8 each item and they take military discounts so all together was about $35 with two soft drinks. I also bought four cake pops the chocolate kind. it wasn't chocolate inside the chocolate was only outside the inside to me tasted like cookie dough I didn't really care for it. I had better cake pops elsewhere. FYI they have a changing table in the bathroom which is really nice if you have little kids.

This is a great place, we absolutely love it for lunch! Wonderful selection of delicious & innovative lunch specials

Re Reviewer Ashley Easterling's comments: This is a typical example of today's Millenea generation, who suffer quite badly from the newest and most insufferable of psychological disorders - "Entitlement". If this young girl had what she felt was a valid, genuine complaint or query, she should have taken it to the manager on duty and voiced her concerns in private.

To air her childish tantrum in public like this is a shocking display of bad manners.

To expect total and complete perfection in all that she encounters in life is unrealistic and arrogant.

For the owner to feel obliged to respond with a publicly aired apology sends the wrong messages to youngsters like this who suffer from "Entitlement"; it only strengthens their narcissistic belief that they are somehow entitled to services and privileges set apart from the ordinary...
