Was gonna be my first time trying churches, didn't even get the chance. Placed an order around 9 for a scheduled pickup (window frame was 9:50-10 as that was around when I would be off of work). I ended up having to stay a bit later at my job, and when I pulled into the drive-thru, it was around 1035-1040, at least 20 minutes before doordash and Google said they would be closed. Speaker informs me they're closed. I wrap around to the front and try the door. Locked. I can see a worker cleaning up inside behind the counter, which by the looks of how empty and pretty well closed everything in there seemed, they had doing so for a while, we make minor eye contact through the window but beyond that I was not acknowledged in the slightest. So I pull out my phone to figure out what I'm going to do cause it's a Tuesday night in sumter and in about 15 more minutes, my options were gonna be down to about maybe 5 other places. Places I go to consistently as I always work late nights and was trying to branch off from. I spent a few more minutes fighting with the ordering company for my refund as they tried and failed to contact the store in regards to what was going on and I'm left with a disappointing resolution and minimal time or options to make a choice now.
I get it. Fast food sucks, the days are long, customers are rude and entitled. My primary job is fast food, except the company I work for takes pride in how they operate things. Read more202 W Liberty Street, Sumter, SC 29150. The Churches Sign in the drive thru was damage and hanging. The sign gave way while I was exiting the drive thru. I spoke to the manager who informed me the damage sign was reported to her general manager. She contacted the general manager about the incident. The police department was notified. However, the employee would not provide me any additional contact information to resolve the matter including the general manager name. The manager on shift 07/7/2024 @4:32 pm provided no additional assistance other than contacting her supervisor. I even had to remove the fallen sign out of the drive thru my self. Eventually, once the police arrived an employee did remove to sign from the parking lot area. Estimated cost of repairs to my car update $ 4000 SMH update no one from Churches Chicken has contacted me to date. I did follow up with the store manager today, and was informed the regional manager would Dominic would be reaching out to me. I have estimates claims windshield and damage to the hood of my car totalling...
Read moreWell, I was really excited to get some of their chicken and biscuits because I haven't been in years. Now I remember why. I ordered a 10 pc. Mixed meal w/ 2 sides and a lg. Jalapeno poppers. As long as it took I thought we were in for a treat, nice fresh ,hot chicken and etc.. Well got home, out of 10 pieces 3 were white and 2 of those were wings...it was luke warm and you could tell it had been under the lights for a bit. Now, I think fresh chicken was dropped for us when we ordered...but then about 4 more cars came up and ordered so I guess I got the short straw and got the remnants of the earlier crowd. Then to add insult to injury I only got 1 of the sides. When you live to far to go back, its pointless to call and complain. For, they're not gonna do anything but tell you to come get it...yeah right...anyway. Needless to say, I won't bother to try them again for a decent...
