My first time in here and the staff were very friendly, especially Christian, I mentioned what I liked and what I was hoping to have and Christian suggested the Caramel Frap ultra, that was perfect and what I was exactly looking for, I also asked about a bite to eat with it and he suggested a few items in the display but after asking me what I would like, He suggested a creme filled pastry. I paid close to $9 for the Grande(don't let the name fool you, it was at best, a SMALL cup!) And the pastry was supposed to have custard, and after biting into it over 3x, I finally got to some type of filling,a very light layer of some type of yellow creme, it actually looked to be expired cheesy creme, the flavor was a bland sweet, like a sugar free donut. Christian asked me how was the drink and the pastry? I told him my disappointment about the tasteless and very dry pastry, so dry it was sucking out all the moisture in my mouth, forcing me to drink my VERY over priced SMALL Grande Frappe, with a quickness to help me swallow the dry pastry I even told Christian, that it was so dry it stuck in my mouth and I had to drink up my Frappe quickly to help me push it down with fear that if I tried to swallow the driest pastry I've ever had,I'd choke. As hungry as I was I forced the rest of that pastry( not to mention the HIGH cost) down with the Frappe, which by the way didnt come enough to even finish off the last piece of Frape, I had wait til MH saliva came back in order to swallow that pastry . Wow, well Christian's attitude was worth the visit there(Outstanding attitude), I will skip Starbucks to help save my Life for fear of choking on THE dryest pastry in the Arizona area. They should name that pastry "The Desert", that's how DRY that pastry was. The place was clean, a few people there but the disappointment was already setting in so, I didn't even attempt to take any pictures for Google, yeah, I'd skip this place, unless you like being in the desert and having a bite of the dryness of ...
Read moreHorrible customer service. Manager couldn't help. Wanted to use stars on one drink and gift card on the other. Presented the stars only for her to use. She use my stars on both drinks. Lost out one getting new stars as i paid for my drink. Went back to talk to manager nothing she could do but give me another drink. Why would i need another drink i had just gotten one. Its frustrating that ppl don't do what you ask. This world has got to use common sense and logic. How are you even a manager if you can't do the basic in providing customer service right! Training and basic human skills is needed. I will finish out my gift card and ise all my stars i soent my hatd earned money on a never return to any Starbucks. This company and any other Corporate rich company ain't worth the headache if they can't run a basic coffee shop. Anyone want to buy a $20 gift card for $15 let me know. I'll also sell you stars .Banning myself from useless companies thanks for wasting my...
Read moreI should state up front: My wife like Starbucks. When I go to Starbucks it's because she wants to go and I'm with her. I am never the one who makes that decision.
That said. It's "okay." It's not the best coffee around, it's not the worst. They started the trend of making a bigger deal about coffee than is probably warranted or necessary, in order to justify selling it at a ridiculously, stupidly high mark-up. It worked - they're arguably still the best at pulling it off.
Thousands of pretentious little coffee shops, (or boutiques), have popped up since the 70's trying to out Starbucks Starbucks while at the same time criticizing Starbucks.
In the end, it's coffee. McDonalds makes a decent cup for a quarter of the price. If you could actually find the perfect cup of coffee, and drink it every day, after awhile you'd get tired of that too.
I like coffee. I also like value. Starbucks is okay coffee and a...
