I was referred to Laurie by several people for a reiki session. This was completely new to me so I didn’t know what to expect at my first session. At my first session, Laurie took the time to explain everything to me- chakras, blockages, the energy that flows within us, physical side effects from these blockages, and what the purpose of reiki was. The session itself was very relaxing but also interesting. Once we finished, I stayed laying down ( my preference) and she explained what she saw and found. The crazy thing is she pointed out these physical ailments I have that I didn’t even tell her about, and explained how these were a result of blockages within my energy system. We talked some more, she answered my questions, and I set up my second appointment.

Fast forward to my second appointment- when I tell you that I have never experienced something like this before, it isn’t an exaggeration. During my session, I couldn’t get my mind to stop racing. It was actually really annoying because I just wanted to relax. I started feeling nauseous at one point which isn’t out of the norm for me, but this nausea was intense, and made me want to throw up. So we finish the session and she’s talking to me about what she found, and basically tells me she had a hard time getting into my “electrical system” because of my “swat team”, these little guys that stand post and fight off anything external- (she explains this in detail at your first session. I’m explaining this concept by using this analogy) and she had to bust out the tuning forks because my mind was very busy. I was shook! I didn’t even tell her that!! And then, she told me she really focused on my stomach area and I told her how I felt nauseous at one point and she said it was because of that. Wow! She then showed me how to calm my stomach down with a simple pressure point technique.

I say all this not to scare you, but to stress how beneficial reiki is and how crazy it is that we have the entire electrical system within us and energy flowing through us at all times, and if these electrical wires get tangled up, the energy then can’t flow and gets blocked up in certain areas, which over time causes physical ailments, and for me, that is: IBS, two autoimmune disorders, back pain for 15+ years, speech impairment, anxiety and depression, and severe anemia. I’m only 33. I’m heading to my third session today and I’m very excited and ready for this healing process. It’s going to take time but it’s okay- I just want to feel better.

Every session I have had with her has been amazing and profoundly helpful and healing.

During the first session, I thought I was just going in for “maintenance”, but Laurie found a place where my energy was “stuck” and therefore the energy was not flowing properly.

Not only is Laurie an excellent Reiki practitioner, but she is also extremely intuitive. She told me what she saw, and I immediately realized the issues that I still needed work on. We did the work together during that session, and I walked out feeling so much better in every way.

For the next, session, I went to her after a traumatic event involving a dog attack. I had tried to do the work on myself, but I was “frozen” with fear that I was not able to release. Again, she found where the energy was frozen, and together we were able to release the fear during that session. Laurie is also an excellent Reiki teacher. I witnessed this when I volunteered to have Reiki done on me while Laurie supervised and taught her students. Again, an issue that I was not expecting to present itself emerged. This was a health issue that had begun several years earlier. During the session, Laurie was able to teach her students to recognize the stuck energy and how to treat it. It was a very pleasant experience. So, in conclusion, I would highly recommend Laurie for Reiki treatments and/or classes. I trust her...
