Patricia's Grocery — Restaurant in Sun Prairie

For our Latino neighbors, or someone like me with a Mexican spouse, finding a place that offers authentic ingredients from Mexico was a lifesaver! They carry a good variety of pantry items, as well as spices and other ingredients. They also carry refrigerated foods like Queso Fresco, tamales de maiz, a variety of fresh salsas, and tamales. You'll also find a nicely stocked produce section. But, the best part is their meat counter and freshly made carnitas, chicharrones, barbacoa, pazole, and menudo, to name a few. They even have a little area in the back with tables and chairs in case you would like to eat-in. And, the service is...

Great hole-in-wall local grocery. I've tried the tortas and chorizo borrito now, greatly enjoyed both. Everything was fresh and hot. Love little traditional garnishes they include too; potato, jalapeño, pickled onion.

I hope they can stick around.

All I'll say for the atmosphere is everything looked clean and new. I'm not sure what else you want from a tiny grocery store. I'm there for the food not...

I called in a takeout order (torta cubana for me, quesabirrias for my wife) and they had the order ready in 10 minutes! Fastest I’ve ever gotten takeout from any restaurant. And the food was excellent! The torta was massive and every bit was delicious, and the birrias are truly exceptional. And their chips and salsa are tasty too!
