I travel all over for work and as a result I get around a bit. I also look for a lunch that is affordable and good. This place as far as food flavor strikes me as store bought sauces with the rest being made from fresh ingredients mostly. I would eat here again as the food was good but not striking. Though my complaints are with other things otherwise this would be a 4 for price and well tasting food.
If you look around at vents you will see literally black mold so bad it is fuzzy, as in growing. Being in the medical industry I can tell you when the spores settle inside you will be sorry. Not only that the aquarium is far to small for fish that size and does not even have proper filtering for them. Otherwise things are clean enough but not as they should be. When you bother to go to the bathroom it is beyond clean. Grout is missing, filthy grout where there is some, fixtures are in poor repair, and the toilet flush is not good.
If this owner were to get into a brand new place that was good to go it would be a whole new image. Their food as far a sauces tastes of preservatives which tips me off to it not being fresh made sauces or preserved through natural means. Not being one who knows what MSG tastes like I will not say this is what I taste. I would not suggest going here entirely on the quality of the facility and and the mold growing in the vents and massive...
Read moreI have not eaten here for a few years, I found better places to eat. It was just okay. Ordered the Kung Po Beef it came with rice, pan fried noodle, spring roll and hot and sour soup. It's a good amount for lunch. Hot and sour soup was just okay. It was served hot and it was thick, slightly sweet and spicy, no sour taste. The kung po beef was not spicy at all it could have been spicer and temperature warmer. The beef should have been cooked more it was slightly undercooked and chewy, it only had one chili pepper in the dish. The vegetables were overcooked, the zucchini had a slight fishy taste that I didn't like. I didn't eat the rice, the noodles were warm, spring roll was greasy so i can't really tell you what it taste like since the greasy taste coated my tongue and it's all I taste right now. The server was great, came back to check in me several times and also informed me that it was the end of her shift and if I needed anything else that one of the others would take care of me. I guess if you live here and don't want to travel this place is just okay. But I will travel. The food at the New Hong Kong in Grandview is...
Read morePoor customer service by the owner.
I order more than a few meals over the phone. checked the orders when I got home which was a mistake. Called back to validate my communication with the waitress which she stated, it was simply miscommunication on your end. but told me to go back to China wok which I stay in Grandview and it’s located in sunnyside. Went back. Waitress verified with the owner the owner stated that it’s gonna have to wait!! She busy!! And didn’t even acknowledge I was their. I didn’t want free food that’s not the point I wanted a correction in my order I paid and should get what I paid for. But the projection the owner placed in her establishment showed me and de humanized the whole customer service environment. I love their food but not the...
