Nick The Greek — Restaurant in Sunnyvale

The food is usually good here. This time I was somewhat unsatisfied. They were clearly understaffed during a busy dinnertime rush. They were also disorganized. My food was cold before I left the restaurant due to a long wait for one item. The order was also missing condiments that usually come with the items I ordered. I have update my original review. The food still tastes great, though sometimes is not up to temperature. The other thing to notice is the much smaller servings with higher prices. I ordered a gyro bowl, which comes with rice and a few veggies. What I received was a bowl with mostly lettuce and a significantly smaller portion of rice and vegetables. This is not a fancy restaurant, so charging 3 dollars more for a lot less...

I very much enjoy Mediterranean food. At a good Greek restaurant, basically anything on the menu sounds good to me on any given day. That said, Nick the Greek is VERY good food at 2am coming out of a bar in San Jose. At this location, with these business hours, however, do not expect a fulfilling Mediterranean meal.

I ordered the souvlaki. The chicken was hard and flavorless, the French fries (that for some reason come with the plate) were soggy, and the salad was somewhere under the layer of feta and oil.

The pita bread was pretty good, but hardly worth the rest.

The price isn't especially bad, but for the mediocre food, this place would only be worth a daytime visit if it could be...

I had an amazing experience at Nick The Greek today! T he food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. But what really made our visit stand out was the exceptional service we received from Karen.

Karen went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and even brought us our salads while we waited for the rest of our meal. Her warm and welcoming attitude truly elevated our dining experience.
