With a penchant for Mexican cuisine, my recent trip to California introduced me to this establishment, recommended by friends. Although my enthusiasm led me to overlook capturing images of my actual dishes, I did manage to document the house-made guacamole and the freshly crafted tortillas – a testament to the homemade quality ingrained in their offerings.
The dining experience, characterized by exceptional flavors, truly left a mark. Every morsel of the chicken quesadilla and the beef tortas, complemented by their signature spicy house-made sauce, was an absolute delight.
Regrettably, the geographical distance between this establishment and Toronto prevents me from making it a regular dining spot. However, I wholeheartedly endorse their cuisine and wish they had a presence in my hometown. The prospect of indulging in their fare on a weekly basis is certainly enticing.
It's worth noting that the service I encountered was impeccable, and the overall atmosphere exuded a welcoming and cozy ambiance. Despite my oversight in capturing a more comprehensive visual record of the experience, I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone in the vicinity. Rest assured, a visit here is an unequivocal must for aficionados of...
Read morePleasantly surprised! It's a older strip mall, so there's plenty of parking. The restaurant is dated but really good staff. They have both indoors and a small outdoor patio. The ONE cashier, waitress, phone taker, everything, she could do it and is actually "speedy". I came here on day one and then the next day before my trip back to LA. Super friendly staff and accommodating. Food is great. I had the shrimp tacos, and carne asada on day 1. The tacos are smaller in size but super tasty. The second day I had the pulled pork burrito and the carne asada burrito. Both were excellent and filling. Just enough protein to bean to rice with cheese ratio. The tortilla wrap is even a bit toasted and crunchy topped with a green sauce. You can even go for the hot sauce but it was all ready hot enough for me. If you buy a beer you get chips and salsa. They have a TV as well to watch either soccer or football, whatever is on. Super thanks for the waitress and kudos the cook for the good food! Only one suggestion is maybe make the carne asada strips instead of ground beef, but that's my preference! Will be coming back for more on...
Read moreI've been to Speedy's Tacos in the past. Back then, I gave it a 5 star review, but after visiting Speedy's recently, I have to change my rating to 4/5. The quality of the tacos has gone down a bit. My friend and I visited Speedy's on a weekday around 5 p.m., and it was very empty (which makes sense). We ordered 5 tacos - 1 puller pork, 3 al pastor, and 1 carne asada. When it comes to the size of the tacos, you definitely get your money's worth. I personally felt that the 4 tacos I got were more than what I could finish. 3 was probably the right amount. Each taco consists of two soft tortillas. The tacos contain a green sauce and jalapeños so they are hot and usually on the spicy end. I was okay with that. The meat was a bit disappointing. It felt dry, and the cook wasn't consistent - some pieces were tender, and some weren't. The service was fast. We ordered at the counter, and our waiter served us our tacos within 5-10 minutes. The staff was friendly as well. They have both indoor and outdoor seating areas. We opted for...
