If you have a Venezuelan “antojo” aka “craving” at midnight and are a little too lazy to go out or uber eats doesn’t deliver I️t seems you’re just stuck! Well, what if I told you all you had to do was open your freezer and crack on the oven and voilá, your Venezuelan food comes out at the snap of your fingers.
Yes, this place sells every Venezuelan food you can think of but can’t exactly make or takes too much time to make it and your grandma lives too far to hook you up with some of her empanadas and cachapas. This is my family’s go to, hole in the wall, for antojitos/appetizers for parties or just to have them in my freezer and be ready for my midnight cravings!
It’s literally a hole in the wall and I️t gets very very busy especially during the weekends/nights. They don’t sell anything warm or to eat right away. Everything is frozen/refrigerated and ready to purchase to take home. The best part is you can buy frozen tequeños pre cooked so that all you have to do is pop them in the oven for 15 minutes and they’re ready! Everything is conveniently packaged and sold in bulk. They even have the tartar/garlic sauce and nata/sour cream available for purchase! From empanadas, to cachapas, to pastelitos to tequeños. They sell I️t all! They also have queso de mano, queso de año and queso guayanes.
The perfect spot for Venezuelan food in...
Read moreI seldom write a review but this time I believe is necessary. My wife bought a "queso de mano" at Zerpa's in Weston two days ago...only to find when she opened it for consumption that the cheese had grown mold in it. My wife went to the Weston shop where she had bougth it and explained what had happened with the cheese to the attendant, but she refused to give my wife a fresh cheese because she hand't brought the damaged cheese with her. We live almost 30 miles away from Weston and my wife couldn't carry the fungus afected cheese with her to her job or everywhere she went. (However...she brougth a photo of the damaged cheese on her phone ) In order to make a company big...you need to have a policy that makes the client feel important as well. And the most important part...this is a public health issue and I believe it should be taken to the proper authorities. Sad...but we are taking our business elsewhere...and Zerpa has saved a cheese ...but has lost a whole family of clients and their respective friends. We have to teach some people a...
Read moreHad heard this place had great cheeses. Went there with high expectations, and bought for the first time a White Cheese (queso llanero). It was the worst cheese I have a ever tried. I wqasn’t sure if it was only me, so I asked my wife and daughter and they thought just the same. Keep in mind we love cheese and could eat this one. I thought if I returned it, this place would respond and replace. It was mind blowing when I heard the attendant said she couldn’t received it and that someone would call me later. No one did, obviously. What was I thinking. Stay away...
