Dio's Cafe — Restaurant in Surf City

Worst restaurant on the entire island. The waitress was preoccupied with her conversation with her coworker and didn’t come to the table for over 5 minutes, we were the only customers in the restaurant. After taking our order we were served the most water-downed coffee I’ve ever had. When our breakfast did arrive the eggs were cold and the wrong meat was on the breakfast sandwich, it took over 20 minutes to make eggs and toast with home fries and we were still the only people in the restaurant. The home fries were the frozen kind you can buy at the grocery store and had absolutely no flavor at all. The waitress never came out to check on us after we were served our food because she was once again preoccupied with her conversation, we had to get up and go to the counter to ask for our bill. I now see why nobody is ever eating in this disgusting restaurant even during peak tourist season while just a block away Wally Mitchel’s has a line out the door everyday. Me and my friends wanted to go out for breakfast before I had to go to work, but turns out the wait was too long at the place we originally were planning on going, so we walked a bit and found this nice little place called Dios. We were the only ones there that day, and I absolutely loved it. This place deserves way more recognition, the people are so nice here and the atmosphere is really cute and they also have a piano that they even offered I could play. I’m vegan, and even though it wasn’t on the menu they made me a custom veggie wrap it was really good! Dio's is a small family run cafe that has really fresh tasting food. My favorite there is the Buffalo chicken quesadilla. The chicken is fresh and shaved instead of grilled and cut into strips or chunks. The hoagies are fresh and made to order. They also have a good cheesesteak sandwich.
