Just walked back from How you Brewinâ from such an awkwardly bad experience (my second time there today) and feel compelled to leave this review so the owners understand how one of their employees interacts with customers when trying to order an iced cappuccino.
Me: Medium iced cappuccino with light ice please. Employee: (leaned back, stretched out his arms and let out a large sigh) OK, let me start from the beginning, is that like a Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts thing, because we donât DO iced cappuccinosâ. Me: You donât, really? Employee: Thatâs correct, the traditional cappuccino is two shots of espresso with steamed milk Me: Thank you, having been to Italy I am quite versed on the history of cappuccinos, do you do iced mochas? Employee: Yes, we serve iced mochas Me: You realize that an iced mocha is a cappuccino without the chocolate syrup? So your explanation makes zero sense.
My 1-star review isnât for not having the drink I wanted, itâs for the condescending attitude of the employee and his explanation of why they donât make the drink. To me his comments and interaction appeared to be that of someone who works in a seasonal town and is annoyed by the seasonal customers.
The coffee is OK at best but not worth the attitude, especially for the price. I'm willing the spend money when the...
Read moreGreat coffee. Lots of seating. Live music.
How You Brewin is a frequent stop of ours. It definitely seems to have grown quite a bit both in popularity and in actual area. It's pretty easy to notice from the road. They have a decently sized parking lot, but it can get close to capacity at its busiest.
The inside is very big. They took over the store that closed that used to be next door, and doubled their size, so there's tons of seating. They have both booths and tables. There's a mocktail bar in the center of the store. You order drinks at the main counter though. They even have a stage for live music. You can sit outside as well.
The drinks are pretty basic. They have espresso drinks, cold brews, teas, frappes, smoothies, and horchata. They offer 14 different flavor shots that you can add to your drink. As you walk in the door, you'll see their monthly specials. In addition to drinks, they have baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, sandwiches, soups, and salads.
I've gotten many different drinks here. All of them have great. I believe I've tried the frappe, cold brew, and iced latte. I haven't had any problems with any of them. Their condiment bar has simple syrup if you need to...
Read moreI love this place so much. I come here after spending time on the beach to relax outside and have some peace and quiet and of course great coffee. I would like to bring to attention something that needs to be said, which is that level of decorum is expected when visiting HYB. I was here on 07/05/2025 sitting outside as I always do with my coffee and muffin trying to relax unfortunately there was a large family occupying 3 tables which seated 4 each including kids, young parents and grand parents I assume judging from their loud obnoxious behavior they were from NY. they were engaged in very loud often times vulgar conversations between tables! do these people realize they are at the beach! which means BE QUIET AND CHILL!!! I had to fight the urge to tell them to shut up! as myself and everyone else around me were getting very annoyed!!! I finally walked across the street where there were outside tables to try and distance myself! unfortunately I could still hear their nonsensical incoherent banter! I grew up in Southern California by the beach, you conduct yourselves differently at the beach, unfortunately these people didn't...
