Excellent assortment of all you can eat sushi to include hibachi. The hibachi steak was very tender and came with rice and vegetables. I ordered two. The crab Rangoon’s were the best we ever ate as well as the shrimp tempura appetizer. Got two of both of those. Photos show the sashimi salmon (.75 extra per slice but worth it), Philadelphia roll, Dragon Roll, Queen Roll (our favorite), Las Vegas Roll, and Crab Roll. They were very busy for Labor Day weekend and short on staff. However, It took only about 5 minutes to get the appetizer and around 15 for the sushi but they kept it coming. The lady working the front counter constantly checked on us as well. Very friendly people. Drew was our server and was very nice. They give you plenty of white sauce (yum yum sauce) and it tastes great. The floor was a little dirty as well as the bathroom but nothing very bad. Some water was on the floor under a seat and they apparently had no one available to clean it up. The seats and tables were clean. It would be helpful to provide hand sanitizer at the front with sushi but we bring our own. They provide paper sheets where you write what you want and they pick them up often. They have some explanation of each roll but you can ask as well and they are helpful. For just under $27 per person, the price is worth the quality. I ate some before I remembered to take a photo so some plates are not as full as it was when it was brought out. It is truly all you can eat. We will be back! A must-visit if you like sushi and hibachi. Come hungry!

Food is always amazing. Our server Jordan left something to be desired. He left out an entire guests foods several times due to wearing ear phones while taking our order to the kitchen. When we walked in we asked the manager who apparently sat us for a booth. She ignored me and sat us at a table. I asked again where she says the entire side of the restaurant was closed. We passed two booths on the open side. We stayed to eat only because the kids were hungry. After mediocre service we watched guest of our server be sat and I immediately asked the hostesses who is also the manager and she became very defensive. She attempted to justify why she sat guests on the side that is closed vs why that is wrong. I explained to her how people request booths due to injury and disability where she continued to argue about why she allowed our servers friends to sit where paying customers can’t. She then says she has no manager above her. And offered no discount on the bill or anything for inconvenience. Food is equally good at the north myrtle beach location. Would travel there instead.

We had a terrible experience!!! Just God awful. We have been regular patrons for over a year but I doubt we'll ever return after today. We ordered 4 avacado salads and they give you these tiny slivers of hardly any avacado over lettuce we know this that's why we ordered 4 of them. We didn't eat the cheap iceberg lettuce underneath. Big mistake! Some bald Asian guy literally lost it on me and my boyfriend over less than a cup of lettuce it was very embarrassing and rude like I've never experienced. He started yelling about charging my boyfriend for literally less than a cup of iceberg lettuce. Then he started freaking out talking about they don't make any money during their lunch buffet. He kept going on and on about how they don't make any money during the lunch buffet. My boyfriend gave him a dirty look because we're just trying to eat and enjoy our food. So this guy has the nerve to turn to me and start yelling at me. I literally just smiled in his face and asked for another crab salad which he totally ignored me and walked away and never brought me my salad I had to order it from another waiter. Then after we were done filling out a paper for the sushi. We were questioned by the server about if we were sure about how much Sushi we ordered. About 10 minutes later we were questioned Again by the same bald guy about how much Sushi we ordered and he seemed like he was really pissed off about how much Sushi we ordered. Like they didn't think we could eat it or something but my boyfriend is a bodybuilder and I lift weights too and it was our Carb refeed Day so we ordered like maybe 6 rolls that's like 10 pieces a roll but they're so small anyway. So we probably waited about 30 minutes to get our food just because they wouldn't put our order in because they were questioning us and just pure being rude honestly. When we got our Sushi we hurried up and ate it because we were tired of being treated very poorly paid and tipped well and got out of there. Honestly this is the worst experience I've had at a restaurant. If you look at their Facebook page I left them a awesome review about a year ago when we went for the first time in Surfside. So this is pretty devastating. I also kinda got sick later that day and all I had was king sushi. Maybe I was upset and that made me sick but I had the worst indegestion ever within a hour of leaving and suffered through it all night and couldn't eat the rest of the day. If you're screaming and yelling at your customers about how you don't make any money during your lunch buffet you should probably up the prices. Because to be honest there's hardly any fish on your sushi. It's cheap and your food isn't that great. So maybe you should do something about that instead of taking it out on the customers because that's no way to make money either! Very...

I do want to preface this review by saying that my family and I live down the road from Kings Sushi, and have been coming here for years. Up until the other night, l’ve had no real complaints about this restaurant. It sucks to say that due to our recent experience here, we definitely will not be returning again.

To make a very long story short, my boyfriend and I waited over 45 minutes for our appetizers, and we had to walk around the restaurant to flag down our own sever to ask why we hadn’t gotten our food yet. She said she would put in a new order for us, and a few minutes later we had a portion of what we ordered at our table.. cold. She asked us how the food was and we let her know we were missing some of what we ordered, and that what we did receive was cold. She brought us out the correct food about 10 minutes later, and told us pretty much the entire kitchen speaks Spanish so these mishaps happen a lot. She then told us she would give us a discount on our bill for the inconvenience.

Once we received our check, a total of 12% had been discounted. Nothing crazy, but we took what we could get. When we got up to the host stand to pay, as we always do, we let them know we’re locals so we can get their 10% discount. The hostess was about to add it on, but the server then came up and said that she had already added it to our bill. Meaning if she already added the 10% locals discount for us, that means the additional “discount” she gave us for the near hour delay in our food was a mere 2%. We heard her tell the hostess she added it because we “had to wait a few extra minutes for our food.” We told her our frustration about the amount we were discounted, and that it was not a few minutes, it was almost an hour. She started to become hostile and basically just to shut us up, she told the hostess to bump the discount from 12% to 15%.

We could have overlooked the incident with our food had we actually received any sort of compensation like we were told we would. The “discount” we were given ended up saving us barely over a dollar. At that point, the discount is just a slap in the face.

I am not the kind of person to leave negative reviews, but the whole ordeal just left such a bad taste in my mouth. I have worked in the service industry for years, as has my boyfriend who is currently a server. We absolutely understand that some things are out of their control, but the lack of care and respect for the customers here is just embarrassing and has no excuse.

If you want to waste your money, and about 2.5 hours of your time, then this is the...

Sushi was not good. All cooked items were good. Service was TERRIBLE. As soon as we were being seated at a table in our waiters section he was saying “oh no no no not me again please don’t” as if he didn’t want to serve us. He spent a lot of time talking at first and he forgot to ask if we wanted anything to drink. When I asked if we can just put our drink orders in first he said oh yeah sure I’ll be right back and took a few minutes. Throughout the course of our meal, the amount of minutes he seemed to disappear for increased to the point where we had to ask a nearby waitress for things we needed FOUR times. Not to mention he didn’t even put in our complete order and we were waiting for TWO pieces of sushi for maybe 20 minutes. At first it was because the kitchen forgot to do something then after it was because he forgot to put it in. I mean get your story straight before you lie to our faces at least. When it came time for the check we had to again ask another waitress to get us our check and after that the waiter finally came back. He said to us “I know I haven’t been the most attentive to you guys but I’ve been having a medical emergency this whole time I have type to diabetes” and at this point we didn’t believe anything and we were over it. We remained polite and respectful but we really wanted to tell him that if you don’t feel good then go home. Don’t ruin our experience because of your “medical emergency.” We left a small tip when it should’ve been nothing and he came back to check it right in front of our faces then gave us a look, caught an attitude with us then told us to have a good day in a very unpleasant tone. Not sure of this person’s name but it’s a white guy with pinkish dyed hair. Even though the cooked food was good the sushi wasn’t great and the service from this waiter was absolutely terrible. I will never go back. Thank you to the waitresses that were nice enough to help us when we...
