I went to Piggly Wiggly to get cucumbers, a red onion and some bakery rolls so I could make a cucumber salad with sandwiches. I did not get to make them that night. Two days later I went to get the cucumbers out of the refrigerator and 3 were rotten. I went back to the same store to pick up three more cucumbers and gave them a quick once over. I had to check through many cucumbers because most of them were rotten. I found 3 that felt pretty good without fondling the whole cucumber and on my way out I decided I better get some more Bakery rolls because if they were like the cucumbers, I had to check through many cucumbers because most of them were rotten. I found three that felt pretty good without pain during the whole cucumber and on my way out I decided I better get some more bakery rolls because if they were like the cucumbers, they would pick probably be writing by the time I got home. Needless to say, when I got home, that you bakery rolls, which were not on sale on manager clearance because of expiration date, were all full of mold. I was so glad that I purchased replacements. When I started washing the cucumbers so I can slice them, on all three of them, the ends started popping off because they were rotten. I fixed my sandwiches on these roles that looked so good, and they were mealy and nasty. Needless to say, I was very upset. This is the grocery store that is closest to my house. I went to another grocery store. They had great cucumbers and were $0.20 a piece cheaper. They also had great rolls to put my sandwiches on that tasted good, which were a lot cheaper than the roles I had purchased at Piggly Wiggly. I feel a Piggly Wiggly is very overpriced for their food and...
Read moreUpdate February 22, 2024 the old man with white hair and a white beard dressed super casual that helps bag is hateful towards me each time. I'm always thanking him and calling him sir but he gives me and my daughter a vindictive look and never says anything back. I can tell he's racist and since we're Native,we won't be returning. It's too expensive but it's close to my home so I always shop here. I was always taught how to treat people with respect, especially my elders but it seems the same courtesy isn't given back.
Update: I came here today and Nancy was the cashier. She acted rude to me but was friendly with everyone else but me and my daughter. As soon as she gave me my receipt she was friendly to someone else but was not as polite to me even thougj I smiled and said please and thanked her.
This place is close to where I live and is where I shop when I need the basics. The service here is okay. I had a rude teenager one day who rung me up. She was not friendly at all and lacked basic hospitality etiquette.
The old lady today was rude. She should be polite as the cashier, the deli men were great with assisting me to locate the beef...
Read moreBest place to get local grown, this year's, raw peanuts in the shell. Also great for local grown vegtables and meats. Update: Today I visited your store and bought $50 worth of groceries. When I arrived, cashier had no face covering and when I cashed out she was wearing a face shield, open at top and bottom, and she didnt have a mast on. I had a feeling this lady is making a political statement and endangering my life and the lives of other customers. A mast should be worn if you wear an open-ended shield. I would not consider returning to this store until employees are required to wear mast during this currently growing pandemic in this indoor confined area. I returned to store today and same lady was checking out with no mask and she had been in store since the beginning of her shift with no mask I left and did my shopping g today at Food Lion which was really nice.
I had to go back for those local vegetables and sure enough every worker had a mask on today. I got some good local collards...
