Purchased over $80 worth of food from this establishment on vacation from PA. At first everything went smoothly. Until we got the food, I specifically requested extra soy sauce and duck sauce when receiving my order, I only received two of each of them, for 5 different entrees. I was upset for I specifically requested extra. Since I did not have a car to go get any I called them well u deal with a call center I called for over two hours 6 different times for no one to respond back to me for a common courtesy. Everytime I called all I got was a I will put the request in. Eventually the establishment closed for me to receive a text message saying it's a courtesy for them to give us sauces and i should specify next timem we'll I did have the receipt akd note on it to prove it. I asked them to come get the food for we dont eat it without soy sauce they refused the food and my money went to waste. When opening the food to look at it the rice portion is overwhelming they give u barely to no protein my sweet and sour had 8 pieces of chicken, would never ever recommend this place to anyone for the service is horrible!
Let me add that i requested on the receipt Xtra soy sauce I was give 2 packets for 5 meals complimentary or not that is not suffice. The lack of common courtesy from this establishment to get a call back and not a run around is enough for me to never refer this place to anyone! Very horrible unkind unpleasant people...
Read moreGot a pu pu platter for 2: the egg roll was only popcorn shrimp and cabbage, which was extremely bland, and not even fried all the way because the inside was raw wrapper. Same with the tiny spring roll, expect it had so little filling that I’m not sure what it even was.... just raw rice paper. The other items were edible but nothing to write home about (a teriyaki ‘steak’ kabob and a chicken one, a whole fried chicken wing, and a fried butterfly shrimp). Got a large order of the veggie fried rice : they make their fried rice with saffron, which is not at all the flavor I’m looking for when smashing some fried rice from a Chinese place.
My last complaint is that the hostess or whoever took my order straight lied to me. If it’s gonna be 50 minutes until I can pick my food up, tell me that. I’m grown. I can handle it. But don’t tell me that it’s only going to take 25 minutes when you know it’s going to be much longer. That’s lying. That’s dishonest. That’s trickery, really. If you’re afraid of people cancelling their order because its gonna take an hour, then be quicker about it or acknowledge that people have the right to make that informed decision.
Wouldn’t eat here again if someone paid me to honestly. The only reason people in this small town think this is “good” Chinese food is because they only eat Chinese food in this...
Read moreSaturday night 12/30 I placed an order at China Apple. My husband went out to pick up the order and mistakenly went to Golden Kitchen in Surfside. The owner of Golden Kitchen, who cannot speak English, gave him another person's order and not knowing this he paid them $43.64 and took the bag. When he realized what happened, he returned with Victoria's order ("Victoria" was on the ticket) and kindly requested his money back. She started screaming and cursing him in Chinese and then the son, who speaks English, finally stepped in and told his mother in Chinese that we didn't order from their restaurant and asked her to refund the charge several times, which she refused to do. She continued to scream at my husband in Chinese. No one should be assaulted in this manner. We will be having our bank address this and we will never go...
