The Cup and Cone — Restaurant in Surfside Beach

While visiting our home away from home in Murrells Inlet/Garden City Beach, we often drive 15 miles out of our way for Italian Ice at a familiar chain in Pawley’s Island. We made that drive yesterday only to learn the location we frequent was permanently closed. I promised my son we would find another place for him to enjoy Italian Ice and Google led me to The Cup and Cone in Surfside Beach which was only 3 miles away from us. This quaint little hidden gem was perfection! The team behind the counter were so patient as we overlooked their menu. There were so many options to choose from so it wasn’t an easy decision. I inquired about a specific flavor of ice cream and was quickly offered a sample. That’s always a plus at a new place! My crowd finally made their decisions and we were quickly served. My son settled for just 3 flavors of Italian Ice. Each were fantastic, however, the piña colada Italian Ice flavor was to die for! My daughter went with traditional chocolate ice cream and said “mmmmm” between every bite. Grandma chose Totally Coconut ice cream in a waffle cone. The cone was fresh and the ice cream full of coconut. I chose to overindulge with a loaded waffle. A savory waffle topped with my choice of cookie butter ice cream loaded with pecans, wet walnuts, and caramel then topped with whipped cream and a cherry. Just the presentation of this thing was mouthwatering! And the taste!?!? Scrumptious!!! You’ll find this place not far off the beaten path in Surfside Beach just up from the well known Benjamin’s Bakery. Please go visit this hidden gem! You won’t regret it! My family will definitely be back with each vacation to our home...

This is the best place on any beach I've ever been at with amazing snowballs egg custard to be exact which is a northern thing from Pennsylvania and Maryland where I am from and they also have the marshmallow for the center. What topped off the experience was the amazing I'm assuming they are the owners who run the wonderful snowball machine etc have outstanding customer service felt like I knew them for years but just met them. I told them I will be back tomorrow to get a snow cone for my ride home but unfortunately I am leaving too early as I do not open until 4:00 p.m. Just wanted to let you know you're killing it your service is amazing your product is awesome and thanks again for making a memory during our family beach trip!
