Flanigan's Seafood Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Surfside

Went there recently late night for wings: the pitcher of sprite was flat, the pitcher of strawberry lemonade was unsweetened, the $3.99 mojito was not worth $1, because it tasted like tonic water. The 1st order of wings were burned, dried out with no indication of Buffalo sauce. Our replacement wings were undercooked (My hungry husband spat his first and last bite out). The fries came out lukewarm, however while waiting for the staff to get the wings correct, the fries grew cold. When we told the waitress we were no longer interested in eating there due to our disgust at that point, instead of an apology, she had came back with a bill of $21 for the garbage we didn't even eat. Once we requested the manager to rectify this situation, he (RAUL)came to our table (unapologetically) and said that they (he and the cooks) tasted the items that we complained about and that there was nothing wrong with them. After we picked our mouths off the floor, I reiterated to him RAUL that we frequent Flanigans in Doral and know what real Flannigans food taste like. He oddly enough said he would call them to ask them (Doral Flannigans) about their wing preparation. He then insisted that we pay for the items we consumed. Funny thing is we didn't eat/drink anything besides half of the warm fries while we waited over 30 mins for them to continously screw up. From a managerial standpoint, this was that point in the training where he (Raul) should have emphasized that the customer is right and apologize and say goodnight or please give them another opportunity to make it right. Instead he eluded to us just not wanting to pay. Mr manager Raul: we have great jobs and deserve great service and a great manager who knows how to rectify a bad incident. It wasn't until I told him I will place a review of this Flannigans that he told us not to worry about the bill(while looking at us in disgust) really you're disgusted? We left hungry and went on down the street to Duffys, where we were met with good service and food. We have no intention of ever coming back to this Flannigans and will stick with our Doral location or any other location besides Surfside. PS: the restaurant has a dirty mop smell as soon as...

I've been coming here for years. I know most of the staff that has been here for a long time. At least the ones that are still around. I grew up in this area. And I love this place. I haven't been here in about 2 years. My next to eldest daughter brought me for Father's Day. As she knows how much I enjoy coming here, being that I know so many people and I love the atmosphere in the area as well. I have to say, I'm extremely disappointed.

I ate my burger. I thought it was just me, figured I ate too fast, went to the bathroom and let it all out. I had no other choice. I had to let it out. When I get back to the table. My daughter had already paid ( i did not have the heart to tell her what had just happened so I tried to play it off) and I have a 5-year-old, that was with her sister, my 21-year-old daughter who was picking me up for the day. We didn't make it 3 blocks and my 5 year old was nauseous and we had to pull over and she began to regurgitate. It was exactly what happened to me only maybe 10 minutes later at most. What was it she had, I thought? We both had cheeseburgers....My other daughter was fine (Chick Tenders) and I did notice the presentation of the burger itself was off. They looked like they had fallen or something. They weren't in one piece but I've been there so many times and I love this place. I really do I met Joe Flanigan 25 years ago on a date with my ex-wife when we were teenagers.I love this place.And i'm sad to say i'm never coming back! The service was fine and I'm know at night, It's a great place to hang out and have a few drinks. But my goodness was I disappointed. It seems like they were really not that busy. Maybe at 70% capacity. They were fully staffed from what I can tell. And I've been in the industry for quite some time not to mention.I worked in and ran a few restaurants ( Kosher )in the area and have lived there for over 3 decades, up until 5 years ago, I'm 43. Normally I'm not one to criticize a hard worker especially when I know they are working extremely hard, but tonight was absolutely the worst. I am on vacation with my family visiting from Texas and after I had a lovely time eating with Rosie as my waitress my family wanted me and my significant other to go back to our favorite restaurant. The waiter we had was outstanding, J.R was nothing shy of excellence. When we decided to move tables because there was a party of 12 so we cortuesly moved as we have done and then the party of 12 was being loud and rambunctious so we moved again closing out EACH tab!! Not by choice by the way. We got one server named Effy who was absolutely the WORST. Not only was she very inattentive to the table we were at waiting and waiting for her to finally serve us, I requested water and I had to request it at least 3 times. Not only that it took her 45 MINUTES to bring me WATER! It should not even take someone 45 minutes to bring water. As we moved to the bar because we were only ordering drinks, we were going to close the tab when Effy called over the manager Vlad which informed us customers. Which my family has been going here since it's been opened and this manager Vlad assumed we were going to skip on the measly $20 bill which prior to if I wanted to skip any bills it wouldn't be $20. It would have been the $100 bill prior, or the $75 bill after that. She is by far the WORST waitress I have ever had in my entire life. I have been to restaurants in Canada, Illinois, Texas, and Florida. Never get the waitress Effy she does not deserve to work in customer service and I work as an assistant manager so I know customer service.
