UPDATE 4/8/24 so after being told they have a walk up window along with their drive thru where you can actually hand someone a debit card because you still will not take cash, we decided to try this process again. My husband went to get a breakfast burrito and a separate side order of home fries for me. No walk up window we could see, just the drive thru. You still had to use the useless card reader that is positioned directly with the sun glare so you either have to get out of the car to read it or just hope it was read correctly. The burrito was a good size but lots of potatoes as filler; just call it a potato burrito. After we drove off, I looked at my order of home fries. Since I had these before, and love their taste, I could not believe the amount that was given. Looked more like a half order. See photo.
I am done with this place. You have absolutely ruined a unique concept of lobster rolls with all the 'prime' salads, steak, burgers, etc. You have no consistency anymore .
UPDATE. You use to take cash, then started taking credit, debit, then started taking both. NOW you won't take cash! Went to the Surprise location for breakfast this morning and was told they no longer take cash since the first of this year. We couldn't read the card reader you have, couldn't even figure out where to put the card. The person taking the order was no help at all. Got disgusted with the whole thing and we canceled and left. I am trying to cut down on credit and debit. Also sick and tired of businesses refusing CASH. not everyone wants to wrench their neck and arm to fiddle with a card machine in drive thru. Your employee didn't offer to the scan our card at the window either. You lost a sale and you lost a customer.
We can't afford to go to expensive steak and lobster restaurants anymore. Angie's Lobster is a great place to go to when you are craving great lobster and a decent price. To make it possible for a lobster roll meal with fries and a drink all for 10 dollars, they cut out the middle man and unneccary expenses like utensils, dine-in service, etc. It would be nice if they eventually expanded to have a small dining area but for many who just want to pick up and go, this is perfect. We always choose the #1, warm lobster roll with butter, fries and a choice of drink. It is so good I can't get past it to try any of their other meals. Nothing skimpy about the amount of lobster stuffed and overflowing in the roll. Their drive thru is steady and efficient, even at their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFinally I had the famous lobster roll š¤š. Ever since Angie's opened in Tempe, AZ I have been wanting to buy a lobster roll, however, 4 or so years in, I was never willing to make the drive. Finally today! They opened a new location by our home in Buckeye and you bet we would be there...so many expectations, yet it was underwhelming š. Now let's be objective here, the meat tasted good and yes! I know this is a cheap item compared to other rolls, however, the size was also comparable to the prize, where this roll was about half the size and meat as other I've eaten before. This was for sure a disappointment š„, please make sure to review the pics I've added. In addition to the lobster roll, my wife had the sw chicken sandwich with roasted green chilies and avocado, the meal is less then $6 which is a great price point, however, the sandwich is also smaller, I would order 2 of them instead of ordering a meal to get all the protein benefits and none of the junk from the fries, which were nothing special. Finally, my kid had the tenders, he said they tasted were good but they seemed overcooked, am I wrong? Plz judge yourself once you see the pic. All in we spent $24 and mostly it was my fault due to the lobster being $10. If you buy 3 or 4 sandwiches alone the total would be less then $15 maybe that's a better option. We would definitely buy the chicken sandwich and try the burgers next since they are cheap but If you are in a rush and want something simple and clean and cheap to eat definitely consider Angie's, their food tastes clean and doesn't leave you feeling bloated, it is the right portion that will keep you going after lunch, just don't expect to be wowed like we did. I hope this helps on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStopped by for the first time today and love how smart this place is. We got breakfast sandwiches, as well as a lobster roll and crab roll chilled for later. The service was pleasant and very efficient, I love to see a place like this that is able to serve quality at such a low price. The breakfast sandwiches were only 2.99 each and made with real eggs, real sausage links, and cheese on one of the split top rolls. The fact that you can get real ingredients for half the price of one of Dunkinās plastic breakfast sandwiches really makes you wonder why more places canāt deliver real food at a fair price. I wish I could have included a picture of these but they didnāt last long enough.
Around lunch time we gave the seafood rolls a go and the first one I had was ok, but that was mostly user error to be fair. I had the lobster roll, still cold. These came with a side of cold compound butter and were at one time grilled and packed with the seafood then cooled, and the seafood inside is pretty buttery too. I skipped the added butter but there was enough butter in there already that I wish I warmed it, but being so excited for a lobster roll I dug in any way. For my wifeās snow crab roll however, I gently rewarmed the crab and the roll with the compound butter in a pan and that was how they should be enjoyed. The seafood rolls were only 11.99 and 7.99 for lobster as snow crab respectively, and I was blown away at how good they were. I remember the restaurant I worked at in Portland Maine charged 13.99 for our lobster roll in 2013 and it was definitely on par with this one.
We really appreciate having something so quality and so affordable so close by. Thank you and we will see...
