Denny's — Restaurant in Surprise

Homecoming Night at the local high schools in the area. And Monster Jam just ended as well (where we came from). We passed up two other Denny's locations tonight because of the extreme waits. This one didn't seem to have a wait so we stopped in. The manager was cooking, 1 waitress on shift (poor girl was running herself into the ground), and no other employee in sight. We wait patiently, our order is taken, and we wait. Appetizer came out at the same time as the meals. Appetizer at the same time as entrees? With the manager cooking, you would think she would know better. My daughters order was completely wrong. Sent it back. Then she was sent raw chicken in a skillet dish. My daughter was so grossed out, she didn't even eat tonight. My spouse also got the country fried steak skillet. Which he did not eat the "country fried steak". Taste was a salt overload. We let them know of both factors. None of what was put infront of my daughter was touched, and the "steak" was left on my spouses. I never did even get so much as hot sauce for my eggs, and by the time I got syrup for my pancakes... They were cold, and those got left too. Coffee got refilled once by the Manager after we spoke to her about the raw chicken. But had no sugar and by that point we were just done. Waitress was busy also being hostess, making shakes, drinks , taking orders, bringing orders out, repeat until nauseous... Bouncing from table to table. So I must say I do not blame her, in any of this. The manager stated she was new and had no idea she would be understaffed. But instead of calling in help, she seemed to let this circus continue. Today (02/19/18) I went with my family to go eat at Denny's. My Mom, 2 sisters, and my 2 year old son. We got a kids menu for my son which comes with crayons. So my son threw a crayon trying to hit my sister but missed and threw it to the table behind my sister. At that moment our waitress was at that table cleaning it and said "oh thanks, do you want it back?" And I said "yes". She then picked up the crayon and threw it in front of my son when she could've easily handed it to one of us or placed it on the table. Then after took our order of our drinks and then 2 mins later brought them to us. She placed them on the table and didnt even ask if we were ready since she was in a rush attending her other tables. Came back later and said "OK so what sounds good?" I told her what I wanted since I was ready but my sisters werent. Then she said "you ready or not?" With a mad face. She then left and helped out another table and we seen a difference of how they were getting attended to the way we were getting attended. She then came back and finished taking our order but with such a bad mood. We don't know what her reason was to treat us like that or if because my 2 year old threw a crayon, or because she wasn't in the mood to work but no reason to treat people that way. We asked to switch tables and waitress. Got a waitress named katelynn (according to the receipt) she said she would take care of us and did just what is expected and treated us with so much respect asking if we needed anything or if...

I have not been in this Denny's for awhile but usually my husband and (or just myself) will go to Biscuits Cafe but today was my birthday so I figured why not get a free breakfast out of it.

When I walked in with my daughter the frist thing I smelled was pee. When my daughter and I were greeted the waitress had no smile on her face, looked like she was miserable.

Now when we were greeted by the server the service was just the same no smile no enthusiasm nothin' I ordered for my daughter and I and when our order came out the sausage links my daughter ordered will not even cooked all the way my egg whites tasted like fish and I was watching all the servers interact with all the customers and it was the same service no smile no enthusiasm to be at work just seemed like it was a job and they did not care about their customers. I was very disappointed. I know that I received a free breakfast on my birthday but the food was not what I expected. I would not recommend going to Denny's ever. Next year on my birthday I will be going to Biscuits Cafe because every time I go there the service is fast great and they truly care about...
