Grandview Golf Course — Local services in Four Corners States

Great course, but the guy in the pro shop is rude as all hell. I mistakenly thought I was next up on the tee so I walked up to the first box and set my bag down on the path while I waited for my buddy and the two randoms in our group. I was standing there for a few seconds when I hear the guy from the shop on the intercom "guy at the first box, you are not up yet..." Blah blah blah. Ok my bad, I pick up my bag (mind you I wasn't even on the tee box, I was literally standing on the cart path) and head to the chipping area behind the tee box in the corner. First group goes off and after a couple of minutes, they haven't called us up yet so I meet up with my buddy at the range, hit a couple balls and then my buddy drives over to the first tee box to also go chip a little. I'm walking behind him, bag on shoulder, to join him and the power tripping guy yells on the intercom not to drive over there yet because they haven't called us (first groups in the fairway at this point). I motion with my hands to calm down and proceed to walk to get a chip or two in. This guy comes out of the shop, strutting over to us all aggressive yelling that we need to head to the tee box because it's our turn and he called us over the intercom. I yelled back saying all I heard was him yelling at us to not go to the tee box and that all we were doing was coming here to chip. A little back and forth between us but I'm sure he'll claim he did no such thing and wasn't aggressive. Anyways, the guy was your typical power tripping a-hole and I hope management takes care of him because other than HIM, it was a great day at the course and I'd love to play again, but...

Good course for the money!! Grass was in good shape and all amenities were clean and good. STAFF IS LESS THEN FRIENDLY. Took my wife and my buddy with his wife and they are extremely rude and unpleasant when you have woman there. Very sexist staff that is NOT friendly at all. Glad I didn’t have my daughters with me. We were harassed from the minute we set foot on the course due to us having woman with us. Granted they don’t play as fast or far as the men in our group but a weekend out with the wife with out the kids and get shit for it was not cool!!! I have been to other sun city west courses this was the worse experience I have ever had on one of there’s let alone any course I have ever been on! If you are less then fast paced golfer do not go here you will not be welcomed by their staff. Everyone here is rude and not helpful. I’m 36 and got lectured more than once due to not being over 60. Only good reviews they have is due tot heir food never their staff I thought it was people being in their feelings on these reviews but nope it’s true the staff is rude as hell and if you don’t play on a league they will let you know you are not good enough to play there. Course was in excellent shape, breakfast was very good as usual, staff in PRO shop was short and "forced" 1 of our threesome to ride with another person in his own cart. Not informed when booking the tee time. Found out when I got there that I drew the short stick (LOL), then same office person says, we are behind by a tee time due to persons hitting breakfast balls, and we would also be playing behind "employees" should have no problem....we waited every hole for every shot....employees group would be 250 yds out on 2nd shot and wait for greens to clear, they couldn't even hit 150 yards consistantly. Office likes to intercom, don't go to TEE box until called, but allow breakfast balls (openly seen-admitted) to it and then allows employees to still play when behind full paying customers who are forced to play with a fourth, (no problem) but also ride with someone who you don't know? Didn't make you do that during Covid, but now its a must? Get more carts and quit inconveniencing customers....I personally have seen 3-4 carts on same hole by same group before...other course, better time, same golf, choose wisely, this course COULD do so...
