Fine Fittings — Local services in Surprise

I rarely leave online reviews unless the review is exceptionally good or poor. In this case I find it difficult to say anything positive about our recent experience in Fine Fittings.

My friend had just completed her first round of chemotherapy due to cancer and she wanted to get a wig to wear. Her hair was falling out so she had it taken off by her beautician and scheduled at appointment at Fine Fittings as it’s the closest wig business to her residence. The young woman who told us she would be the staff person helping my friend never even greeted us and certainly lacked much knowledge about the wigs in the shop. It certainly became very clear that she hadn’t worked there long enough to know even some basic information. She rarely volunteered any information and generally just responded to questions we asked—so if we didn’t ask the question, the information wasn’t volunteered—it was like pulling teeth. Furthermore she didn’t know the answer to three questions which my friend asked her about the wigs and had to go ask the man sitting behind a computer.

In our time in the store we saw 3 other staff members—a man sitting behind a computer and two other woman who walked out of the back rooms. None of them even acknowledged our presence much less offered a smile or hello or offered to help us—they literally never acknowledged our presence. We therefore were stuck with a person who didn’t know that much and never reached out to my friend—their client—in any way. I would have hoped that Fine Fittings could have least shown some empathy and attentiveness to a client who was obviously needed some expression of support and maybe a little concern during such a difficult time in her life—but that was not the case.

While the reviews that are posted about this business are basically positive, it appears that most of those reviews relate to the facial and other services they offer—and not to a cancer patient getting fitted for a wig due to chemotherapy. If you are unfortunately experiencing such a devastating time in your life, I can assure you Fine Fittings is not the place to come for a wig or hair piece.

I find it ironic that their website summary on Google reviews states “Staff wear masks” when not only the the person so-called waiting on us did not wear a mask, but neither did any of the other three store employees who we saw during our visit there. This is unbelievable given that they could easily have adversely affected the health of an already immune compromised cancer patient.

Don’t waste your time or money...

UPDATE 2024 UPDATE FOR 2025 ❤️💕 I came back to Rebecca ! She is so sweet patient and explains everything in detail. I got my lips done. Fabulous job. She is the first person i know that checks on her clients on a daily basis to see if everything is going ok. They still treat u like a family member. Love it !!! I went to fine fittings in Surprise AZ a few years back , ok maybe not that long. You know how time flys by lol … But Rebecca did a fabulous job. It’s been a while since I’ve been back. Went to another place shame on me. Sorry Rebecca ! Update went again yesterday 12- 2023 and they are so friendly there. ! Rebecca explained everything she was doing , very patient and once again love the look. Definitely going back. Next I want the eCO2 Plus. Seen pics of before and after. Wow!!! I love how sweet the whole staff is. Very calming place. Update : Rebecca has checked on me every single day for some work that was done. She is so sweet. Everyone there is super patient and treat you like you are part of their family. I will definitely going back to have Rebecca and Marina to do more fabulous work !! I highly recommend to anyone wondering where they should go. I had lips done and dysport!! Painless Go there you won’t regret it. !!!Update 2025. I am still going to fine fittings and can’t wait to get my co2 laser. I’ve been putting it off. Rebecca has tried a few different kinds of Boxtox related products. I’m a problem child for her sorry Rebecca. Not her fault at all my body just seems to absorb these products. I think we finally found the right product. She still checks on me daily to see how the results are doing....

I would like to respond to the Fine Fittings response to my friend’s Terri Long’s review of Fine Fittings. She was writing for me because I was so upset and distraught when I left Fine Fittings. Everything she said did in fact happened period. I did have an appointment but only for an hour which the gal let me know. The staff there did not wear a mask. They knew I was immune compromised because I told them when I made the appointment that I was in Chemo treatment and needed a wig. But they chose not to wear a mask the entire time I was there! I should not have had to tell them. The man behind the desk was very unfriendly. I had a script for a wig and he said that he can take off the tax for it. I don’t what ?? insurance he is talking about because I believe he told me that insurance will not cover the wig. They were not busy, I was the only client there. They did not have very good choices of the wigs to choose from. Who knows if they could have ordered me one as they never mentoned that was an option! I did find one but just placed on my head and not styled! When you pay a lot of money for a wig wouldn't you think they would style it! I read the reviews for your other services and that is good but if you need a wig from Chemo effects, I would suggest you find another store that is more knowledgeable, friendly, and...
