Lucky's Pizza — Restaurant in Surprise

When we arrived, to pick up our order, we discovered one of the pizzas was NOT what we had ordered. Offered to re-do it... but we didn’t have the 10-15 minutes to wait. Took what they had prepared.

Upon trying the food:

Portions were generous.

Pizza sauce a bit thin and runny on one pizza. Dry and over-cooked on the other. Bland. Very little seasoning in the sauce. Close to plain, lightly seasoned tomato sauce.

Pizza, generally, was bland. We DID like the crust on one pizza... but the crust on the second pizza was very hard.

Anti-pasta salad was not cold. Greens were a bit limp. No crunch. Short on the amount of meats and peppers, compared to other, local restaurants we’ve tried.

Fried zucchini was very dry, and over-cooked, with very little flavor.

Overall, a very “meh” experience. So... we’re still looking for a “favorite,” local pizza restaurant. This was a disappointment, considering the high ratings, and reviews, that influenced us to try Lucky’s. We WANTED to like the food... but it was just so bland and...

By far BEST pizza in Surprise! Ive tried many if not all over the years and prefer luckys over them all. Love the white pizza!! My teens are super picky and thats their first pick pizza place to order from. Very flavorful, not greasy nor doughy! Crust is perfect. Perfect amount of cheese and sauce. Everytime we have gone its such a great atmosphere. Its what I expect a pizza spot to look like. Super clean, they make u feel very welcome and I love their classic roundbooth table decor! Tables and floors are spotless but most of all, the condiments on tables are always kept clean as well as soda machine. No sticky residue which is huge for me as it shows they are a clean establishment and take good care of it. Great place to eat in and have a drink, watch the game or just hang out with the family all ages! Ive never had any issues with any orders which makes it worth every dollar on top of supporting small businesses!!! Def. A...

Honestly don't know how the food was because it took over an hour for it to be delivered ice cold and missing items. When I called the "restaurant" whomever answered the phone didn't even bother to check to see if maybe the driver forgot an item, just told me to "call Door Dash". However the pizza and hot sandwich were so cold the pizza box was soggy and the cheese on what was supposed to be a hot sandwich is ice not to mention half wrapped and meat almost just pulled from a fridge cold. Yeah I know Door Dash is at some fault but to not even TRY to make things right? I even drove the mile and a half back to the place with the ice cold food and returned it. Hopefully people that eat in the place get better service but I doubt it by the complete lack of care they took on my order. Guarantee we won't be ordering...
