MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Surprise

This place was average at best but really not that good took my mom here to check it out cause it was are first time there and people working there were nice but food wasn’t good when they put the cheese on your pizza they put little cheese on there and then when I asked for more the worker didn’t even put that much on there and really didn’t even make a big difference and the toppings there were limited they really didn’t have much there after our food got done we took it to our table and ate but after a minute the pizza got cold very quick and it just looked sad and very poorly made topping were just ok at best they weren’t anything special and all I could taste was the sauce on the pizza and that’s it because of how little cheese they put on I will give credit on how good the undercarriage and crust was it was pretty nice but overall I would not recommend this place at all it really isn’t that good if you want to go a pizza restaurant where you make your own pizza I recommend just going to pieology or fired pie btw FIRED PIE OUTBEATS THEM WAY BETTER but workers there were average and we’re nice but I would not recommend this place one but it really...

We arrived at MOD Pizza at about 245pm on Thursday. The place was trashed. Dirty plates and bowels on most of the tables and the ones that didn't have dishes had food crumbs. There was a sleeve of lids for cups on the counter since the dispenser was empty and the countertop was filthy. We had already ordered so we wiped a table ourselves and tried to make the best of the environment. I went in to the restroom. There was no toilet paper or paper towels.... when I approached to get our food the staff was complaining about having to hurry and clean because the owners (the said the names of a man and a woman) were coming by. They cleaned around us as we ate. Our drinks tasted like dirt, I got Powerade so I dumped that and got Dr Pepper. It was the same so I'm guessing it's the ice. The machine probably hasn't been cleaned. Our pizza crust tasted like fish. It was disgusting. I ate a couple pieces and just tossed it. I didn't feel well after. The time before I went in there it also was not clean but it was fairly new so I chalked it up to being overwhelmed being a new place. The health department needs to come in here. This is going to be my go-to gluten friendly and low calorie take out option. There are so many different ways that you can build a pizza that no matter what mood or what preference you walk in with, you will walk out satisfied. You could easily walk out of there with a sub-500 calorie per serving delicious pizza loaded high with toppings and flavors. Best part, they have gluten-free and cauliflower crust options. I definitely would not recommend it for celiac but if you are non-celiac gluten-free, let them know and they will take great lengths to reduce risks. The staff was so incredibly sweet and very caring. Some places can tend to be impatient and judgmental with special orders but the team here was not at all. They were so incredibly accommodating.
