Red Embers Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Surprise

We dine out at Surprise restaurants 3 or more times per week. We hadn't been back to Red Embers in about 2 years because the restaurant has lacked quality service. Yes, the food is good and the prices cannot be beat, but that doesn't get our business if the service is bad.

Over the past 10 months we've started going regularly, primarily on Friday and Saturday because those are the days our favorite bartender Myriah works. During our time coming back, we made the mistake twice of coming in when Myriah wasn't working and both times resulted in good food/bad service.

Now, we actually call ahead to ensure Myriah is working. She is fantastic in every way, and is a true asset and breath of fresh air for Red Embers. At this point, she is 100% of the reason we dine here.

My boyfriend and I typically enjoy visiting Uptown and love Red Embers, even do pick up often! Unfortunately Thursday November 9th when we went to pick up our food, and an individual by the name of Chase was excessively rude and spoke to us as if we were incompetent individuals. As paying customers and members of the community this situation was very disturbing and ruined the experience that we so frequently enjoy. I’ve never met an unprofessional staff member on any of my encounters, until tonight. It would bring us sadness to invite family and friends to this establishment, unknowing if this individual or others that speak in such demeaning manors were to be the ones to serve us. Came in on a Monday for lunch. Ordered their pretzel and new fried honey shrimp appetizer and a chicken caesar salad. We ordered the pretzel first and it took a while to come out because they burnt the first one. We were the only table in there. The shrimp came out overcooked so it was tough to chew. My chicken caesar salad came with no chicken and barely any dressing. The server then said he would be right back with chicken and more dressing. He comes back with a cup of old and cold chicken. Dark looking even. Not appetizing at all. And then says their out of caesar dressing. Kinda ruined the salad for me but I don't like to complain.
