I have been a long time customer of Cold Stone. We were excited when we saw one wasn’t far from our new home. I have typically enjoyed the young people’s positive attitudes, hard work ethic and most cold stones seem like a fun place for a first job in high school.
But after a few visits to the surprise location I will be taking my business elsewhere. Last night was the final straw.
I came in around 8:30 pm, it has a small line, the slab surfaces were filthy, and the employees looked disheveled. I get that.
I addressed the employee trying to show empathy and said, “busy night?” He said in a grumpy tone, “ wasn’t supposed to be, what do you want?”
A little put off I decided to not push for two different flavor milkshakes and made it easier on him to make two of the same flavor in the same blender. He huffed and puffed around with an attitude.
Then he didn’t even fill them up. At this point the very least I expected was to receive the product I am paying a premium price for, but I didn’t even get that. Guess he underestimated how much he needed for 2 and thought it was sufficient. See photo.
Yeah, I’m done with surprise location. BTW, if you can make it to the Peoria location on happy valley and lake pleasant, they really are happy and pleasant and I usually leave a generous tip for their great customer service.
Only tip surprise is getting is to shape up and manage your...
Read moreOnly doing 2 stars because I like Cold stones ice cream better than Dairy Queen’s Ice cream. However, I am disappointed. I came to Cold Stone a couple weeks ago and they said they were all out of chocolate ice cream. (What ice cream place runs out of chocolate ice cream, especially in Arizona when it’s hot out?) so I decided to not get anything as that is was my choice of ice cream for the evening. Then a couple weeks later, I came back to try Cold Stone again with an open mindset, hoping that they had chocolate ice cream so I could get my favorite treat—Which they did! GREAT! But then I was told they don’t have brownies (Not the end of the world though), I just got chocolate cake to substitute. Then I came home, come to find out that there was hair in my ice cream the first bite I go to take and immediately lost my appetite.
I’m just disappointed by my recent visits with this Cold Stone. I probably will not come back for awhile which is upsetting but I’m leaving this review to hope that this Desert location can work on some things to make it a better experience for...
Read moreStaff was great, flavor was on point. It has been a few years since me & my brother had been to a coldstone. We decided to go of a whim and although the product was good and the service was decent. It all could have been better and faster. If it was a hiring issue, i could understand. But having no "hiring" posters, to me, seems someone is not scheduling properly, especially for the holidays, when every!! business is busy. Had 4 staff members running around trying to take care of the line out of the door for walk in customers as well as the line, in the store of online orders (who got more rude everyminute that it was not ready) I did not mind the wait, and even when being waited on, the staff was nice and fulfilled our order with no issue. The issue from my visit would be directed at either management or corporate, and not the staff members. I feel if the store was staffed right, that the staff would have provided a 5 star review, but by being overworked/overwhelmed it took a toll on the...
