Whataburger — Restaurant in Surprise

Well I got to say this on June 27th 2024 I went to this Whataburger which I always went to every single Whataburger that in the Phoenix area and decided to do this one a surprise when Michelle was the manager it was great let me tell you something I'm a very picky person when it comes to my food only because the fact that I used to work there when I was a kid and it was about customer service when I go there seems like it's very intimidating I know that if they tell you to basically is that this is how it's supposed to be done that is totally wrong so you can have your Whataburger anyway you want it as long as you ask for it so moving forward I got a number five and I always ask for that which is a Whataburger with bacon and cheese I always ask for the extra meat and on top of that I always ask for it well done and I always ask for extra onions well here's a little sticker what I always do I always ask them to put the cheese in between the two patties as well as the onions it seems like when you do that for me everything gets put together and it doesn't fall apart and yes I always ask for the green chili on the side and I asked for no salt on my French fries well for some reason the new manager comes back on me and you don't get that much fries whenever you ask for no salt seems like they just skip out on you on that the other thing too is that the both meet patties were actually Raw and even though that I did talk to the manager and when I get his name I'll go ahead and make sure that he is known I did tell him that the Whataburger that I ordered was red and I did tell him that the fries weren't even properly full his response on the phone told me that basically if I want I can go back and get the two patties I go well how about if I just bring the whole darn thing back and replace the whole order he goes no we don't do that I'll just give you the two patties and they didn't even put the onions and and the cheese in between the two Meats I mean is it true or false that you can go in there and you can actually change your order whatever order you have so now let me tell you now that when I go back there if I ask for the same order like I always have and if I tell them to put the extra onions and the cheese between the two Meats managers automatically say we cannot do that Michelle has told us that we cannot do that we get in trouble for that and just to let you know he is the manager that what I talk to I forget African American male I just think it's sad howSomeone can go in there and it doesn't matter if you're picky or notBut it's a very fast pace environment andFor me to be treated like that I'm glad that they ended up replacing it when Michelle was thereBut if Michelle was not have been thereAt that time when I went back after a month laterThenIt would have kept on goingEven though I contactedCorporate office and even though I wrote emails out to regional managers and even though that I went and extended even furtherTo VP And sales reps Because I feel that If I'm only one person that can get this kind of attitude from them then I'm going to have...

This is the single worst Whataburger in America. There is NEVER a grown adult present. There is always an army of teenagers working here unsupervised and they care very little about doing their job correctly.

If you order ANY additions be prepared to go back up to the counter and ask for them.

Every single time, on every single order, for over a year they forget to put gravy in the bag. This might sounf silly but it caused us to have to open up the bag as soon as they hand it to us and clog the drive thru or pickup line so we are not forced to walk back into the store to get what we paid for. At this point it is almost criminal, they are effectively stealing from every order by failing to fulfill what is on the ticket and for the life of me I just cant understand why there is not an adult supervisor here teaching these kids how to do this extremely simple, basic job and reprimanding them for treating their workplace as a social club.

Terrible management. I will drive all the way to Sun City for Whataburger before giving the franchise owners of this location another penny of my money. Pay to have someone that knows what they are doing on staff instead of fielding 100 kids for as little as you...

Friday, 3/29/2024 - We decided to try Whataburger since we've never heard of them before. They have them here in Arizona. Restaurant address is 13730 N Sarival Ave, Surprise, AZ 85388 There is a drive thru window. Located next to Costco. Upon arrival....

Pros

1. plenty of parking
2. typical fast food restaurant and setting.
3. fountain drinks is on the left side of the cashier table. You can fill your own drinks.
4. staffs were very nice. Our cashier was very smiley and nice.
5. clean. I saw one of the staff cleaning the restaurant, sweeping and making sure the tables were clean. He even asked us is we liked our foods.
6. I got the Avacdao Bacon Burger for $7.00 (a-la-cart) and a cheese burger meal. Both weren't bad. They were good. Typical burger and fries tasting like most places.

Cons

1. water had a fountain fizzy (but it wasn't fizzy) taste. I danked it anyways.

Conclusion Burgers and fries were typical. Nothing special. But I love that the restaurant was clean, the staffs were nice and friendly, and it didn't take long to get our foods. My bread was toasted nicely. Fries were a little on the drier side. Plenty of parking. Fountain drink area wasn't dirty or sticky....
