Boot Barn — Local services in Surprise

Stopped in today to see if this store had brought in the new Smokeshow Lane boots. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the overall quality and selection.

The women’s boot inventory was limited, with Ariat being the only reputable brand available. There were no options from trusted names like Old Gringo, Lane, Macie Bean, Tin Haul, Ferrini, Justin, or Corral, which many customers expect when shopping for western footwear.

The women’s section was also surprisingly small. Only about one-eighth of the store.

I was really taken aback by a T-shirt on display that reads “Everyone thinks they’re a cowboy these days” while the inventory exemplifies that statement. Western fashion and the cowboy way of life aren’t just trends to capitalize on. They have roots in tradition, quality, and authenticity.

I appreciate that the associates were friendly and offered to order the boots online. However I would strongly encourage this store to research reputable, higher quality brands and connect with buyers who understand the market, such as those who service the store in Cody, WY. First off let me tell you I haven’t seen customer service this great in so long. Literally, so long that I couldn’t even tell you how great it was. When we walked in the store was beautiful and so big inside. I was genuinely impressed. From beautiful cowboy hats, to clothes and of course boots. I loved the leather smell when you walk in. We were greeted immediately. We were asked multiple times throughout our visit if we needed help, but not by just one employee but four! That’s impressive. One of the girls stopped to help us a bit more with our selection and she was wonderful. The store was spotless. When we finally decided on what we’d be purchasing we were offered to be part of their loyalty program, explained how returns work and thanked for coming in. What a great experience. Wowza, this place is huge! They have a massive selection of men’s boots, cowboy hats in all shapes, sizes, and colors, jeans, t-shirts, button-downs, and baseball hats.

When my daughter and I were shopping for boots for me, the men’s section offered a large variety to choose from. However, I was a bit surprised that the women’s boot section was a little sparse compared to the men’s side.

The store was super clean and well-organized, with everything in its spot. The employees were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. I’m confident this will be my go-to spot for boots...
