First impressions: I’ve never been to shake shack. You place your order on a tablet by the entrance. There isn’t any way to check ingredients for the shack sauce. We asked an employee if it contained dairy. They said yes because it contains mayonnaise and mayonnaise has eggs. (Eggs are not a dairy product) đŸ€Ș They charge a premium for their burgers. I can understand that considering some of the toppings they have to choose from but I wouldn’t say the ground beef is any better than five guys but it is a little better than in and out. Is it worth the price? Not really. The price of their food and lack of service will keep me from ever going back. Issues I had: You place your own order. No employee greeting or help with ordering. When you are finished with your order they automatically opt you in for a 10% tip. WTAF!!!! A tip for who? At this point I’m the employee. đŸ˜± We then sat at a table we had to wipe clean ourselves with wipes available by the trash cans. You take a number when you order. The order number was never announced or brought to our table. It sat at the door dash/to go shelf dying as people came and went. I went over and grabbed it after realizing it was in fact ours. The burger patty was similar in size as in and out and the fries were average. We got an order of plain fries and bacon cheese fries. They were just meh. The shack sauce is bland, the cheese sauce thick and congealed. They are overpriced for what they are. I got the mushroom burger. The cheese in the fried mushroom was a bit too much. Very thick and overpowering. Final thoughts: I honestly don’t get the hype at all. It’s definitely not a price conscious family friendly place and I have no desire to return. It’s not as clean as In and Out and the service is also lacking compared to In and Out. In and Out is considerably more affordable. The automatic opt in for a 10% tip when you have to do everything yourself besides cook and assemble the food is offensive. The audacity. There was also standing water in the kitchen area. This place is a mess! Full stop. Don’t go. They need to feel the pain of lost revenue before they will ever fix anything. But if you want to be a Shake Shack employee during your lunch hour and pay them for the honor of allowing you to work for them. And tip them? Then by all means go. You can opt out of the tip. But the automatic opt in is ridiculous. If they aren’t paying their employees the same or more than similar places considering their premium prices, this is just insulting to everyone involved. I don’t like writing bad reviews but damn this was bad. I wish I could get my $56 dollars back.

Well not sure where to begin. I wanted this place to be good, I really did, due to the hype. Maybe we did it a disservice by going through the drive through? The employees, let’s just say, lack common sense. Had to fix their mistakes about 5 times, then they were going to actually let us drive off with one whole meal missing. I alway check my bag before driving off and glad I did this time. When we asked where this meal was at, the girl literally said “oh yeah, we had to recook all our chicken”. Wow, like you knew the food was missing from my bag, and didn’t say anything until we asked? Horrible. So then, instead of re-making the whole order, which common sense would tell you, is going to be cold after having to wait for this chicken to cook. To be fair, I could have been a “Karen” and made a big deal and forced them to remake the whole order, but after having dealt with everything up to this point I was just like “f-it” I just won’t come back. The food was mediocre at best. The price was absolutely ridiculously overpriced. Even if I would have dined in, received piping hot food and no issues with the service, it still isn’t worth the price. This is legit sit down, full service restaurant prices, but fast food, quality food and service. The ONLY thing that was pretty good quality, was the cookies and cream shake. But honestly, Jack In the Box’s cookies and cream shakes taste just a good. If you like overpaying for overhyped, mediocre food and an attitude from the staff, just because this place reminds you of “home”, then this place if just for you. For the rest of you that want a decent fast food burger for a good value, I recommend In-n-out. Not a “smash” type burger, but a third or quarter the price and better quality and definitely a friendlier staff. Oh and to the corporate person that keeps replying to these bad reviews with the cut and paste response, I would love to give you my receipt but I didn’t get it back after I had to provide it as proof I didn’t receive my chicken bit meal.

I’ve passed by this when they were building it. On Monday night I had the chance to visit, and try their burgers. It’s nice to see they’re open late. Parking was no issue as I came around 10:30pm. Walking in there were four kiosks to order from; no one was working the counter. I’m not one for ordering from a kiosk as I don’t know the menu; plus I wouldn’t know any specials — like In n Out with their secret menu. I ordered a Double Shack Burger with Bacon, an order of crinkle cut fries, and a vanilla milkshake. My check came to $24+change after tax. I grabbed my placard with its number, and took a seat. The dining area is fairly clean, and offers booth and table seating. The wait wasn’t long, and when my food arrived I started with the milkshake. It was very thick, and had good flavor. Only one size too. To drink the shake I had to remove the lid. The french fries were ok. Not a golden brown crisp. I don’t know when they had filtered the oil in the fryer. They weren’t soggy, but could have used a little salt. The burger was your standard smash burger. Two patties with a good char; with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onions. The bun was very nice, and held up well. The prices are a la carte; so it’s more than In n Out, Habit, Wendy’s, Burger King, and Village Inn. I’m not sold on returning here based upon this experience. Only factor that, in desperation, would influence me are the hours. Before leaving I will say they are pet friendly as a woman brought her cat in with her; and the bathrooms are fairly clean. For more of their menu I’ve attached photos. If you’re in the mood for a decent burger, give them a try.
