Cavana's Pub and Grub — Restaurant in Sutter Creek

UPDATE TO THE OWNER: PLEASE DONT EVER TELL HISPANICS HOW TO RESPOND TO RACISM ESPECIALLY IF YOU WERE NOT PRESENT TO WITNESS OUR TRETMENT!! ALSO I SAW ZERO HISPANIC STAFF, ALL WHITE!! NO DIVERSITY IN THE FRONT, MAYBE YOU HAVE OUR PEOPLE COOKING THAT DELICIOUS FOOD IN THE BACK!! HORRIBLE DISGUSTING TRETMENT AND ALSO THE ONE THAT OFFERED MY 12 AND 14 YEAR OLD DAUGHTERS TO SIT AT THE ACTUAL BAR WAS A YOUNG WHITE LADY WITH DARK HAIR, BLACK HAT AND GLASSES, AND SHE POINTED THEM NEXT TO AN OLD MAN... IT WAS THE ACTUAL BAR, I CAN GO BACK AND TAKE A PIC ESPECIALLY BEING ILL BE AT THE CITY REPORTING YOUR LICENSE TOMORROW, ILL ALSO BE SHOW CASING YOU GUYS ON MY SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS BEING MY DAUGHTER HAS A RECORDING OF YOUR 18 YEAR OLD SERVER SERVING ALCOHOL AND PULLING MINE OUT OF MY HAND, AND ACTUALLY TOUCHING ME, YOUR WHITE MALE MANAGER ALSO LAUGHED IN MY 15 YEAR OLD DAUGHTERS FACE WHEN SHE EXPLAINED WHAT YOUR SERVER AND HOSTESS DID!! NEVER FELT SO DISCRIMINATED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!! Positive: food was amazing and I won't deny that! NEGATIVE: drove 2 hours to this restaurant, was on the way to my 95 year old grandmother's whom I'm watching that just broke her hip. Walking around the small downtown area myself and husband bought a small can of a margarita mixed drink. We were told that it would be a 15 minute wait, at that point the hostess offered myself, husband, and 2 minor Childeren to sit at the bar! I then informed her that was illegal and we will wait at the benches across the street. They texted my table was ready I WAS ALLOWED in the restaurant, allowed to order and WAS ACTUALLY SERVED FOOD, when a lady that worked there ( the exact second my food was put on the table) told me I couldn't have it, and LITERALLY PULLED IT FROM MY HAND! I asked for a manager who denied her name and said she was ONLY 18 BUT SERVING AND TAKING DRINKS!! The manager had zero concern on us. Every single person was white, we were the ONLY HISPANIC people there and they treated us as monsters! I paid and left, I have every intention on calling the city in the morning to complain, especially on a restaurant being okay with underage girls sitting at a bar with a bunch of grown men, I thank God I was there and my daughters weren't subject to the perversion in...

My husband and I ordered a BLTA SANDWICH with a side of GARLIC FRIES and it was very tasty, the sandwich was like buttery toasted and the lettuce -although it was shredded- was really fresh as well as the tomatoe and avocado, the bacon was thick but kind of crispy 😋 the Garlic fries were exactly the way we like them crispy and overloaded with garlic 😋 I believe our server's name was Derek and he was very kind and friendly, plus we didn't have to wait too long for our food. My husband and I came back to the Cavana's Pub on Thursday, (May the 4th, 2023) and we were very welcomed by Derek -our server again- and he noticed that we were thinking about sitting at the tables that were by the bar area, then immediately he told us that we could sit over there at any of the two tables available; then, a very young, unprofessional and unfriendly girl (wearing a bandana on her head) that was at the reception when we first saw her... came by our table not too happy and telling us that we were at the bar and almost wanting to tell us to sit somewhere else! but we told her kindly, that that's exactly where we wanted to sit and then she walked away (in my humble opinion she shouldn't work there until she is well trained to treat people kindly) anyway, we ordered again a BLTA sandwich and it wasn't like the one I ordered the first time -it was kind of soggy and not as tasty like the first time- I also ordered a cup of French Onion Soup and it was a little too sweet for me, I've been in Paris and because of that fact, I know that it shouldn't be so sweet (it tasted good but not like the traditional French Onion Soup) -our server was very nice as always- and he even read my mind every time I needed something, before I even asked) I only had to suggest Derek not to serve Soup in the cup they gave me, because it was chipped and sharp, so somebody could get hurt like I did (he was thankful for my observation but not too sorry about that)🤔 My husband ordered a crab sandwich and he liked it, his Garlic Fries were tasty but extremely greasy, so the fries that were in the bottom were soggy and were dripping with oil and he couldn't eat the rest of the fries because of...

came in to a bar fight. some girl pushed another girl off the high bar stools.. interesting. The acoustics in this place are absolutely ridiculous. bring ear plugs. We were seated without menus and left for 30 minutes without so much as a drink order. No Exaggeration! then the waitress showed up and asked if we're ready to order... uh... can we have menus? people getting seated, drinks and orders all around us while we're just getting older. then we get menus and our drink order taken, wait another twenty minutes to order food... seriously.. we had reservations at 6:30 and didn't even get to order till 7:35... drinks arrived just before we ordered food.. then we had no utensils or napkins still when the food arrived.. The waitress was like they're in the center of the table and pointed to a empty space and was like oh sorry I'll be right back...10 minutes later.. while our party of six was extremely patient with the server.. I swear we all felt like she either hated us or was just taking out a bad night on us.. she was very inhospitable.. bonus, my burger was actually completely raw. not even warm. And I never send food back. I'm of the belief that whatever is wrong with it when you get it, it will be worse when you get it back. So I left it on the plate and took it to go figured I could cook it myself when I'm back home. I absolutely love leaving a restaurant hungry after 2 hours.. My friends said do you want to order something else. I'm like are you kidding me? Lord knows that when or if we'd ever get it. now my husband was so hungry that he ate his totally raw burger and he's been sick now the entire day after...awesome..worst experience here EVER! recommendation, if you feel like you need to go to this restaurant pick a day and time that is not busy cuz they obviously cannot handle...
