This was my first visit to Kukga Topokki in Suwanee, although it’s actually my second time dining at a Kukga location. The restaurant offers a menu full of classic Korean soul foods—dishes that feel familiar and comforting, like the kinds of meals you'd find in neighborhood eateries across Korea. It's a wonderful experience for anyone who appreciates authentic Korean flavors or is looking to dive into Korean comfort food. I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness and thoughtful decor of the space. I particularly liked their motivating vocabulary displayed on the wall. The restaurant has a simple yet charming atmosphere that combines traditional and modern elements, making it both inviting and stylish. It’s clear that they put a lot of care into creating a comfortable and authentic dining environment. For my meal, I ordered the Kukga Gimbap and skewered oden (fish cake), and both dishes were excellent. The gimbap was fresh, with a perfect balance of flavors in each bite, while the skewered odeng brought back memories of street food stalls in Korea. Oh my god, 10/10 we will be visiting every time we come to the area (unfortunately we are from North Carolina but will be back!!!). The food was SO good and very affordable especially with how much you get. I got the budae kimchi ramen and spam-squid kimbap which was delicious and very filling. We had a little bit of everything and my new best friend Connie gave us some great advice on how to eat it and what to try next.
