I have eaten here a couple times now. The food is always good but the service is not that great. During my first visit, I had a younger server around college or high school age. She took my order quickly, but drinks are in single serving cans. I went through the first one mostly while waiting for the food, but she was too busy behind the counter on her phone to notice I was trying to wave at her for another drink. I didn’t want to be rude and get up for one so I just waited for her to look up when another customer came in. It was a little busier on my second visit. Had an older server that seemed to be working by herself, but even though she was walking around a bit, it still took several attempts to get her attention for more drinks as she didn’t stop by to check on me. If they are not going to go around and check on customers while they are dining, maybe they just bring several of the single-serving drinks to the table and only charge for the cans that are opened. There are people constantly smoking right outside the doors, this was banned in Gwinnett 20 years ago, but no one stops them and the required signs are not posted. On my third visit, I arrived just before 9:30, but I was told they were only open for takeout even though other tables were full of people eating and the sign on the door said they were open until 10 pm. There are similar businesses in the area that serve the same food with better service, I’ll be going to the others...
Read moreI have developed a fondness for this charming neighborhood chicken restaurant, which operates independently and isn't part of a franchise. It used to have a different name but has remained resilient through the pandemic, continuing to serve its loyal customers. The restaurant is run by a dedicated husband and wife team who are always present, managing every aspect of the operation from A to Z. During my recent visit, I noticed that there were no other employees on duty, and the owners personally attended to our needs.
We savored the flavors of their regular fried chicken and delectable marinated chicken. The meal came with delightful accompaniments such as sweet and sour rectangular radish, a popular Korean side dish, and diced cabbage with thousand island dressing, both of which complemented the chicken perfectly. The freshness of the chicken was evident and added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
To accompany our delightful feast, we ordered a pitcher of Blue Moon draft beer, and it proved to be the ideal choice. The atmosphere was so welcoming that we ended up ordering three pitchers over the course of the evening. Despite staying until after the restaurant's regular closing hours, the owners were incredibly patient and understanding, allowing us to conclude our conversation comfortably. We expressed our gratitude and apologized for the extended stay, appreciating the warm hospitality and attentiveness they provided...
Read moreI'm a Korean speaker. Sometimes I don't feel like ordering in my own language and I just speak English.
So I call in for a pickup order, person answered in Korean, and I asked if the person spoke English. They hung up on me. As if they slammed the phone down because my ear rang for a few seconds.
Called them back and ordered in Korean. Of course I was livid but they got good pizza so I still chose them. 1 star for pathetic customer service. If you don't speak Korean and want to try this place out, treat them with prejudice because they will do you the same, especially over the phone.
To management: look I get it, sometimes you hire fresh immigrants who don't speak a drop of English, but letting workers disrespect customers like that will bring you down to the 3 ratings. This isn't Korea. Adapt and fix yourselves and if you don't, I sincerely hope you lose business. Someone else can always take your recipe and do much better than you in...
