We have eaten at this and other Taziki's locations many times - really like the food. This particular location has always been consistently slower and more disorganized than any other Taziki's I have visited, but historically tolerable. Last visit (9.29.21) was the last straw for me - will not be back.
After ordering without anyone in line and maybe 2-3 people in the restaurant waiting on an order, we noticed more and more customers queueing up behind us - with no one receiving food. We couldn't tell exactly what the hold-up was - maybe a few drive-thrus and one larger order, but nothing that seemed to explain the extreme delay. After a 30-minute wait at this 'fast serve' restaurant, we went up to ask for status and were told our order was 'next'.
5+ more minutes - 35+ minutes total now - the server brought the food out. Without a word. I said 'you realize we have been waiting almost 40 minutes now, right?' Her response? 'We had a lot of orders in front of yours, and we can only cook so fast'. That's it. Wow, guess she wanted to clearly message that we should feel fortunate they chose to serve us at all!
Maybe most importantly, manager no where to be seen during this entire fiasco - when you would think s/he might have taken a minute or two to come out and apologize to the multiple waiting guests for the extremely long wait....maybe even offer them a coupon for future purchase or something. Nope, nothing.
Not sure if this is standard operating procedure for this location, and I won't be back to confirm. I post this as a warning to potential customers that, if you choose this Taziki's, you might want to ask for an anticipated wait time before you order - and be prepared to do business on their terms and with...
Read moreThe customer service was horrible but the food is AMAZING! We came on a Sunday evening. The environment is pretty neat. The music was really loud. When I ordered I mentioned that we were all allergic to Gluten ( the menu says that everything on it is gluten free with the exception of the skordalia sauce, pasta, desserts and bread options.) I ordered a Greek salad with chicken salad on top. When it came there was a pita bread on my plate. I was not aware that a pita came with it. When I brought this to the attention of the employee who initially took our order and brought it to us she just starred at it acting like she wasn't going to do anything. I had to actually ask for another one to be made. As she left to take it back she dropped the salad dressing on the ground right by our booth. Another person in my party ordered a bowl of soup and a salmon salad, she specifically asked for the soup to come first. It didn't. When it DID come the soup was cold and it came on a plate with a PITA. When we brought this to her attention she just said "not to eat that part". When I got up to get my drink I almost stepped in the pile of dressing on the ground that she dropped and did not clean, the pile of dressing set there the rest of the time we ate. Both of us specifically asked if they needed to know we were gluten free. At NO time did the employee tell us the meal would be served with a pita on the plate. If you visit this restaurant be sure to specify your allergies to the employees. If the service was good I would have given...
Read moreI have been here several times. I have loved their food every single time. However, I will probably not come back for the following reason.
I have dined in here by myself and with my family several times. When I was by myself, everything was fine.
But when I was with my family, things were different. There is a short young ME looking guy working here in the kitchen, I don’t know his name, but his picture was posted in one of the other reviews right next to an older gentleman in the kitchen showing thumbs up.
A few times I entered this place with my family, he shouted “Welcome In” a little bit too loud. But he did not stop there. He came to our table and started asking how our food was, which he has no business asking that since he works in the kitchen and there was a server who already asked us that, plus he did not ask me when I was dining in by myself several times in the past, and we replied the food was good. But he did not stop there. He started talking to the ladies sitting on the table and asked them “ what did you like about the food? Where are you guys from? What is your name?…” which I personally found a little bit too much. Unless he is the owner and he knows his customers on personal level, he should keep it professional. This guy may think people do not know what he is doing, but the chances are they definitely know. I just wanted to point this thing out since it happened several times and it can definitely make the customers feel...
