Michaelangelo's Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Swansboro

I called in to place an order fot carry out in Swansboro. I attempted to order two slices of pizza and the person answering the phone was very vague and skeptical. She was unsure of the prices, and put me on hold to look them up, etc. When I finally went to place my order and asked for her name, she refused to give it. She said she’s not allowed to give her name and why do I need her name. I explained that if anything goes wrong, or I need to call back, I would not know who to ask for. I canceled my order out of frustration and called and spoke to Zack, the manager 10 minutes later . He said he’s not allowed to give out a child’s first name who works there. It’s funny because they want your name to place an order but they won’t give you their name. Should you have any problems and need to call back. We’ve been going to that Michelangelos for 17 years and that will be the last time I call in an order or visit the restaurant. They really need to step up their game. He assured me that no one will give me their first name when I place an order anywhere so I placed an order with Domino’s. The guy who answered the phone identified himself immediately. I called Zack back and explained to him what the definition of customer service is and that dominoes has better Customer Service than Michael Angelos. Two days after that, I called the Atlantic Beach store and spoke with Michael the manager. I asked if there was an area office for Michelangelos and to speak with the owner John who won’t be back until a year from now in May. He said that his daughter is running things now, but he’s not allowed to give out her name! This is absolutely ridiculous. Does anyone know what Customer Service is at Michelangelos?...

Terrible!! Ordered a Small Pizza with Canadian Bacon, Regular Bacon, Pineapple, Mushrooms. Recieved pizza appeared to be a large but ok then it has Sausage slices on it Spicy/ Italian NOPE But worst was pizza was soggy, doughy appeared to be undercooked when we tried to get a slice out of the box it flopped over gooey. I call to tell them and manager get on phone seems attitude at the start says. Mam you got your small pizza with such and such and I said and the sausage I don't do but the worst is it appears to be under cooked it's kinda gooey and he said well that happens with mushrooms and Pineapple and I said well I'm sorry but I eat these regular and no they are not like this tes mam they are I said no sir they are not again I eat them I didn't just do this recipe tonight. Well what you want me to do about it ?? I said well maybe a discount cause at this time you are closing and I can't get another pizza he said sure cant. And we dont discount I said really he said I tell you what I will do refund your card and someone back to pick up that pizza how you like that. I said you know what you keep the money I'll be sure and contact corporate and you have a terrible attitude and I ended my conversation. No Customer service skills at all. Determine that there was not a thing wrong with a pizza I am used to eating. I suggest dealing with another location. And yes I will report to corporate...

We stopped in to order a pizza for supper at 8:15. Once inside we were never greeted, or spoken to. We walked up to order our food and the young lady with the toboggan just stared at us. My wife asked “are you ready” she never spoke so we ordered our medium pizza and boneless chicken wings. We were going to eat it in, but so frazzled by the lady not speaking to us we didn’t order drinks, she never asked if we wanted anything to drink. We had just left El Catrin with unbelievable bad experience (see previous review) so we weren’t having a good evening. This just put the cherry on top of the terrible evening. We sat down and said dang it we didn’t get drinks, so we decided to just take it to go. My wife tells the same young lady we will just have that to go and she just looks at my wife never acknowledged her. Finally another young lady says our food is ready, she was very nice and polite and asked if we wanted plates, red pepper and Parmesan. She was very nice.
