On May 28, 2023, around 1:15 PM, I made the unfortunate decision to have the buffet at a Bawarchi Biryani's Miami, FL. To say that the experience was disappointing would be an understatement. The assortment of dishes on offer, such as Chicken Fry, Goat Biryani, Chicken Biryani, Chole, Brinjal Curry, and others, was below par and lacked any semblance of taste or flavor. Let's start with the Maida texture –Chicken Fry. It was old, dry flavor less and lacked any seasoning whatsoever. The chicken pieces were tough, seemed like they had been sitting out for far too long and this smells odd or different The Goat Biryani and Chicken Biryani were equally disappointing. The biryani rice was below subpar for the flavor, and the meat was tough and lacking in any discernible flavor. It was evident that the biryanis had been prepared hastily and without care. The Gongura Goat Curry has 98% bones, and the gravy was decent. Moving on to the Chole, it was a complete disaster as well. The chickpeas were mushy and overcooked, and the gravy had a strange, artificial taste. It seemed like they had used some premade, store-bought masala rather than preparing it fresh. The Brinjal Curry was no better. The brinjals were undercooked and tasteless, and the gravy lacked the rich flavors that one would expect. I must admit that the only saving grace of the buffet was the ready-to-fry samosas, vegetable biryani, and cashew biryani. These items were passable and somewhat enjoyable, but they certainly couldn't compensate for the overall disappointment of the buffet. Based on this experience, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this buffet to anyone, be it colleagues or friends. The lack of taste, poor quality of ingredients, and overall subpar preparation of the dishes left a lasting negative impression. The establishment should seriously reconsider their approach to the buffet and strive for higher standards. In future I would opt for their à la carte menu in the future, as it is possible that the individual dishes might be better prepared and offer a more satisfying dining experience. However, I will never subject myself or anyone I know to the buffet ever again. Finally the Gulab jamun seems to be the one from the Indian store. I used to feel proud before that the south Indian restaurants are better but it is only for Al Cart.
5/100 for todays Buffet....
Read moreBawarchi Biryanis is a popular Indian restaurant chain in the U.S., widely known for its aromatic Hyderabadi-style dum biryani and expansive menu of Indian cuisine. They currently operate in numerous cities across many states.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience at Bawarchi Biryani, MIAMI was very disappointing. The food did not live up to the reputation at all. The biryani was bland, oily, and lacked the authentic flavor you’d expect from a place specializing in it. The meat was overcooked, dry, and hardly had any seasoning.
On top of that, the vegetarian options were almost non-existent. The very few dishes available for vegetarians were poorly prepared and lacked variety. It felt like the restaurant doesn’t care at all about customers who prefer or need vegetarian choices.
To make things worse, the service was careless and slow. We had to wait far too long for our order and wait times are lot for food at the time of buffet, and when it finally arrived, it was not even served hot. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, which only added to the frustration. Cleanliness was also below average — the tables were sticky and not properly cleaned between customers.
For the prices they charge, the quality and service were nowhere near acceptable. Overall, a very underwhelming and unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this location, and I don’t plan on returning.
Last but not the least, The combination of poor taste, limited menu options, and overall lack of attention to quality makes it hard to recommend this place. Definitely not worth the hype...
Read moreI have never dined, only ordered food for pickup or delivery. As such I do not have an opinion on the "atmosphere".
I really want to like this place. It has been the only good Indian restaurant in the area that actually tastes good. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it to anyone that dislikes anything spicy. For some reason, there exists no option to have the food be not spicy at all. There are two options: mild and spicy, and "mild" is still very, very spicy. I don't even want to know what the "spicy" option feels like.
While I consider myself as a person that likes spicy food, I sometimes want to have tasty Indian food without sweating buckets. This restaurant doesn't do that though. I believe it's a huge miss for the store, as I'm sure more people would want to otherwise dine there.
The second biggest complaint of mine is the consistently bad experience when it comes to pickup/delivery orders. My last pickup order was delayed by more than 20 minutes after the pickup time that the store had provided as an estimate. Previous orders have been similarly delayed, to the point where one was cancelled without explanation.
In summary, I cannot recommend this as a place to have Indian food. It's truly a shame and I hope that the owners improve things revolving around levels of spiciness...
