My mother and I visited the Flagler location today - Sunday, 10/17. Among other things, we ordered the freshly squeezed orange juice to go. As we walked out and into our car, I tried the juice and it tasted bad (my family has lived in this area for nearly 30 years and this location especially has been a staple to our Sunday morning breakfasts - so we know what it should taste like). I had my mother try and she agreed.
She went back inside and politely asked one of the employees to make another one because the one we received seemed to have a bad orange in it. The employee told her not to talk loudly so that other customers could hear and asked her to calm down. However, my mother was neither speaking loudly nor aggressive in the least. She simply asked that they make us another one but that they remove any of the leftover orange juice from the machine’s container so we do not get another bad batch. The employee again rudely told my mother to stop talking, stop worrying, and to just go sit in a corner and not watch as they make it - that they would handle it. My mother told her she would stay standing where she was so she could watch them make the orange juice in the machine. As she watched, she could tell that the employee did not empty the machine’s container from the last batch. When my mother pointed that out to the employee, the employee told her to try it and see if she could taste it was bad. During this discussion, another employee arrived (supposedly, she was the manager) and accused my mother of having done the same thing last week - even though my mother is hardly ever the one from our family who goes to Don Pan to buy our Sunday breakfast staples and definitely did not go the week. At that point, my mother asked for a refund and left.
Their gaslighting my mother who was politely requesting another orange juice be made is unacceptable. The substandard level of customer service and the overall rude demeanor of the Flagler Don Pan location has completely turned us away from the chain after almost 30 years of going every Sunday to pick up food for our family Sunday breakfasts. It was an utterly disappointing and...

I am incredibly disappointed with the service at this restaurant. After waiting 45 minutes for our order, we discovered that our ticket had never made it to the kitchen. When I brought this to the staff's attention, they were uncooperative and unorganized. Instead of quickly addressing the issue, they argued and looked for excuses, further delaying our meal.
When the food finally arrived, my arepa was cold and incorrectly prepared. Despite being regular customers who always order the same thing, the staff insisted we ordered it that way—an impossible claim given that they had lost the ticket! The entire experience was frustrating, and my children grew tired of waiting.
I eventually asked for a refund because I lost my appetite. The staff made no effort to make up for the situation, leaving us feeling as though we were inconveniencing them. After years of loyalty to this restaurant, we will not be returning. It’s unacceptable to treat paying...
Read moreI ordered 20 croquetas and 3 cuban breads. After the lady Maria Jose had me waiting for 20 mins to make me fresh croquetas, she gave my bread and the coffee. Then she gives me another small bag and said there was 5 missing from the box she gave me of croquetas. So I proceed to ask her did you give me the 15 old ones that were there and these are 5 fresh ones, she replied no they are all fresh. I get home to realize that she gave me 15 old soggy ones all stuffed in a tiny box and 5 freshly fried ones in the seperate small bag. The consistency difference between the old ones and fresh fried ones was huge. It makes no sense to make a customer wait 20 mins to only give them 5 fresh croquetas and 15 old soggy ones. Im a loyal customer and always tip well, no reason to do that. The logic is just not there....
