Mi Pueblo — Restaurant in Sweetwater

WOULDVE given ZERO Stars, if i could....My lord where do i start. I have been trying to figure out how or why a business is suffering such a tragic change. Im pretty sure they`ve changed owners or management becuase i have literally been coming here for years and ordering Out EVEN MOREEEEEEE!!!!!!!! ( used to be one of my favorite restaurants....) Now i advise you to save yourself the trouble & DO NOT COME HERE.... OVERPRICED... PORTIONS are now HALF OF WHAT THEY USED TO BE and for 26 dollars a plate averaging is DISRESPECTFULLLLL... have little to NO flavor or seasoning..... WAITERS ARE atrocious & RUDE. with no experiance what so ever and its clear to see .. so much went wrong so quickly... one that stood out the most was when i received my meal ( where i WAS explained and it was decribed almost like a chowder, for which any other time i LOVE!!! ) IT TASTED WEIRD.... like a box of Heavy cream A TINY bit of coco and BARELY any seafood, but non the less had some seafood BUT ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVORS JUST SEAFOOD CEREAL. i had already sent back a horrible lemonade so i didnt want to be difficult but it was too HORRIBLE to ignore!!!!) i bit into a piece of octopus where it clearly tasted very weird and like a little water which ...EW. i INSTANTLY SPIT IT OUT) ... when i advised the waiter he said i couldnt send it back and advising me that if i sent something back the WAITER would be responsible to pay for my plate??? MANAGER NATALIA,( clearly has no experiance in Hospitality Restuarant management), she was argumentative when i advised her that my CAZUELA MARISCO did not taste right and had a secondary taste plus NO SEASONING, she became condesending and kept repeating but What taste... what taste describe it, IF it has a taste ( as if i would lie) with a very sarcastic and disrespectful look on her face ( almost belittling or SMUG) to say the least i asked for another manager and she said she was the only one there and also said she would take back my plate to INSEPCT it HERSELF ( i found this werid becuase i made all 6 people try the dish) and she wanted to taste it aswell. she came back to tell me it tasted fine and started argueing with me that there is NOTHING wrong... however to MAKE ME FEEL BETTER she took it off the bill..but not before being HORRIBLE & argumentative.... then when called out for her behavior, she began to raise her voice saying SHE WAS NOT FIGHTING she just want to let ME KNOW .. NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH the SOUP ( WHO DOES THAT?????) who was she to tell me that it was normal when i bit into a octopus for it to have after taste. lets not even bring up the $5 lemonade that was SO MUCH WATER and little lime NO SUGAR.... HORRRRRIIIIBLEEEEEEEE NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! DONT COME...

My wife is Colombian and wherever we go we try to find a Colombian restaurant to try. This location was close to our hotel, so it was a no-brainer. My first impression upon entering was that we were transported to a mountain side town. Tile floors and tables, decorations, music (sensible volume made it easy to enjoy the meal and conversation) and service. Our server was calm, professional and timely. The food was savory, hot and definitely made with fresh ingredients. We had soup gallina (chicken hen) that was cooked perfectly between soup/stew. The chicken melted in my mouth… We also had empenadas. Piping hot with three sauces to dip them in. Out of all of the Colombian restaurants we’ve visited this was the first time I could tell they made the sauces fresh and not frozen. (Caution-they have a little kick, but we’re sooooo good!) Finally we wrapped up with the cuatro leches cake (because cuatro leche has to be better than tres leche right?-my dad joke for the night) oh my gosh was it good! Even though I was full from the meal I could not stop eating it! Get it. Make a special trip. I don’t care, you need it in your life! I can’t say enough good about this place. I recommend it 100 times out of a 100. A fantastic experience from pulling into the parking lot to going home and sleeping it off…you...

I have been going here since they first open when I was a child and I loved there food remember my dad use to get us the cantina for me and my brother while we got out of school but I went yesterday and am just say am very disappointed in what happen the food was cold not good at all the owner sister came up to our table very rude with a cars de culo witch that has never happen to me ever they are always so nice in there especially the own her other sister she is a sweetheart but it was a bad experience and then to put the icing on the cake a hair was in my food didn’t make a big deal paid the bill and left very disappointed the only thing that was good to me was the empanadas thank god but let’s see if j wait a while to go back maybe they will get it right this time what a shame cause I love this place I introduced this place to everyone I know my wife and her family they are Puerto Ricans but they love this restaurant hopefully it was the cook that messed up but...
