I must give it to the proprietor, he made the place look very hip, despite being literally next door to an actual repair shop.
But let’s talk about the food. My companion and I both ordered the very basic cheeseburger but added it sides to it. My companion ordered sautéed onions and I ordered it with bacon. The ingredients were fresh and the presentation was neat. The pattie itself was ok…yes, just ok. The bun was huge, and I mean a lot of bread, to the point that it felt as if the bun wouldn’t allow you the chance to taste anything else. The fries were seasoned & crispy, and you could immediately tell they used good and clean frying oil.
Both, the beer and the service, were on point. The server took her time to explain every item and even brought out samples of the different sauces they use, at no charge. She was very sweet and professional. The restaurant looked very clean but had a foul odor, which I imagine was stemming off a backed up sewer. In conclusion, everything was on point, but the burger can use a little more flavor and moisture and the bread needs to be completely revamped (way thinner bread). But of course, this is just my humble opinion. Give it a try and...
Read moreI must start by saying that I do not eat cow meat, and that I do not like burgers (I used to eat cow meat a long time ago and I stopped, nevertheless I never was a huge fan of burgers), but these people kicked it out of the ballpark! We had a late lunch, and my belly started bugging me because of the meat I ate, but people… it’s so worthy! The place has a really cool vibe with some rock music decorations, and pictures of the place where it all started in Bucaramanga, Colombia. We had the Papas Locas as our appetizer, and for a meal, we decided to have the Colombian, the Gaucha and the Campesina burgers, all of them absolutely delicious! They also make this glorious pineapple sauce which I assume is made there with panela, a basic element of Colombian gastronomy. I found it really cool that they cut the burgers in half so it’s easier to handle them. Other items such Colombian hotdogs (not your plain, tasteless, tiny hotdog - for sure!!), or maicitos (sort of a corn casserole) and a kids menu are offered as well. Make sure you make your way here for one of the finest burgers you can...
Read moreEl Garaje Go Burger absolutely nails it—juicy patties, perfectly charred, on soft, dreamy buns with fresh ingredients. The flavors are outrageous in the best way possible! The only reason I’m giving the atmosphere 4 stars instead of 5 is because our table was a bit wobbly. However, Lisa and the rest of the team are so friendly and attentive, you’ll forget any minor inconvenience in no time.
We showed up hungry, ordered way too much, and loved every bite. Five empanadas? Absolutely—just be sure to ask for the ají sauce! The Santander burger with chicharrón in the arepa is a must, but the Bad Boy steals the show. It’s the baddest in the best way—hands down one of the most delicious burgers I’ve had in ages!
Their beer selection also impressed us; we tried two Colombian brews, Águila and Club Colombia, plus a Belgian Triple called Don Fabio—each one was spot on. Even on a Sunday night, the place was packed, which speaks volumes about how great it is. El Garaje Go Burger is definitely worth a visit if you’re craving an epic...
